only michelin sponsoring ka?

only my opinion:

Yokohama have some super duper tayar. Advan DB S2 or C or S Drive. (Advan neova tyres are high performance but abit too noisy for family comfort)

I never like Michellin energy.

Falken 115 uncomfy too noisy la.

Silverstone is my previous ride. Sudah buang. Lain orang pun tak mahu.

I formerly had MichelinPP2 made by michelin japan . They are irritating because of their propensity to minute imperfections on our roads. Too much of an uneasy feeling. Otherwise they were decently quiet and had good grip. My new Falken452 has a better compromise in my case. It is much smoother and grip better than MichelinPP2 with a very very slight added "road grip" noise.

I am very surprise that no one from the committee have come out to suggest any less costlier tyres.

err ..sorry but what has committee got to do with tyres...?? we are just like you, only thing is we volunteered to help run the club/forum for you all to enjoy, we are no tyre experts...

and you have yet to answer my question, is it PP2 or PS2? bcos they are 2 different things altogether...and PS2 does not come from Japan as far as i know..I may be wrong though bcos this is what I was told...by the Michelin Man

What Im commenting is base on my experience on those tyres which I have been using comparing to those that i have used, both on the tracks and on the road...yes its expensive but good things never come cheap...btw I got it cheap bcos it was a used set..

Because it is NOT their job/responsibility to answer other that club/forum matters.

hi there

Sorry but I thought you guys are bmw gurus or something close
:24::24::24:

PP 2 (pilot preceda 2) reasonably priced is available also from Japan if specified to dealer.

P S 2 (pilot sport 2) is the really expensive one.

Tan asked a really good question here and he asked for comparisons.
So here is mine; I would not choose PP2 again. I am still pretty happy with the Falken 452. Better grip in the wet with a more solid feel to the ground than PP 2.
The price will not make your wife go mad like Janice D on her tv show !:shakehands:

..but the thing is ...is there such thing as PP2 or Pilot Preceda 2 ...I think its just called Pilot Preceda ...am i correct? Im confused now..:106:

Anyway..we are no gurus just like everyone else here ...everyday learning something new.

Anyway like what I said earlier about japanese or korean tyres its not that they are hopeless but they tend to wear of very much faster on heavier continental cars...this is what Ive observed...

oh! just coming out only....but samsam's already used it..?? now Im more confused???

If I am not mistaken, PP2 is one grade lower than PS2 and PP2 is the latest range from Michelin.

PP2's been on the market for not long... am using it right now. Wished i read the comments by samsam though.

so that means PP2 is as bad as what samsam has commented....any other comments other than what has been commented?

I havent had experience with Pilot Precedas 2s, but have test drove the Merc C 230 on staggered Pilot Primacy. The Primacy is quite decent and is more of a comfort oriented tyre compared to the Pilot Preceda 2 and PIlot Sport 2. Road noise is low, and quite cushy and decently sticky.
Seems like most folks don't have much good things to say bout the PP2. PS2's are made in France. I think PP2 is tomyam.

PP2's are decent enough better than most other brands but for the price it's not worth it. Per piece it's just RM100++ cheaper than PS2's so if you can just go for PS2's.

PP2's better than Dunlop Direzza's or Yoko's so it's not that bad. Good road contact and very good in the rain. Just the issue with the pricing and like what samsam said.

BTW i am using PP2's 235/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 rears so any tyres i used before i can feel every thing on the road. It's not a exclusive trait of the PP2's.

Best tyre for our car?? Conti SportContact 2's.... if price not an issue

Excuse me but isn't this a real forum?

JYAZID
PEOPLE ARE DISCUSSING ABOUT CHOOSING TIRES FOR THEIR PERSONAL BMW.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT ISN'T THEIR RESPONSIBILITY? I READ AGAIN AND AGAIN AND NO ONE SAID IT IS A COMPULSORY RESPONSIBILITY.:106:

XXX IS KIND ENOUGH TO SHARE HIS HONEST AND HUMBLE THOUGHTS WITH OTHERS TOO.

I ALSO THOUGHT RANKED MEMBERS HAD MORE EXPERIENCE.
WHAT IS SO WRONG THAT YOU FIND IN DISCUSSING ABOUT IT OR ANY RECOMMENDATIONS GIVEN BY COMMITTEE MEMBERS?

IF ANY COMMITTEE MEMBERS CHOOSES NOT TO SHARE OPINIONS WITH GENERAL FORUMER PARTICIPANTS WHO OWN BMW CARS, SO BE IT.

LASTLY, WHY DID YOU INSINUATE THIS ISSUE ISN'T PART OF A FORUM MATTER? :bird: :stupid:

JYAZID...PERHAPS YOU NEED TO BE HUMBLED HERE OR GO LEARN HOW TO RUN A FORUM

Caruthers,

I think yazid was making a comment based on "I am very surprise that no one from the committee have come out to suggest any less costlier tyres" as posted by samsam, which I didnt take it too lightly either, just because we are committee of the club that doesnt mean we are Mr. know it all, we just voluntered to run the ship. What Yazid say is true as our job is to handle club/forum matters, it is not compulsary for us to answer posts or to give suggestions abt your tyres, engines and what not....

Back to my question please

Errrrr thanks Xxx , Caruthers(from astro?). mrSamdol, e46fanatic, etc ...at least some of you did contribute constructively on this subject. :top:

Back to my question: which tyres have you guys had on your beemers previously? What did you not like about your former tyres? what do you have on now? are you happy or can't you wait to get rid of it?

I hope not to make a costly mistake from my bmw.
