owning a BMW is about passion. if speed is what one is looking for, go for other cars.
perhaps, an old mini with turbochaged Hayabusa engine in the rear will satisfy you. 0-100km/h in 3.4 secs.

If you really have the need for speed and you are stuck with the bimmer, might I suggest transplanting a 1jz TT or 2jz into the bimmer? You can get upwards of 200whp.

What does a K20 Civic cost these days? Just under RM130k?

For that amount of money, I'll just get a 2010 Kawasaki ZX10R for less than RM90k.It'll outrun the K20 and most anything this side of a Bugatti Veyron while still leaving me with enough change to buy a second hand E36 328i daily driver that can ALSO outrun the K20 Civic.

True...true...the driver plays an important part. But no matter how good the driver, there's no replacement for displacement.

Schumacher in a Kancil won't be able to do much.

If you don't mind using diesel, you can consider the 320d which is still under 2000 cc. I have overtaken a couple of Civic 2.0 and of course the Civic drivers will chase you but you can leave them behind quite easily. They usually give up after 180 km/h.

Ah..for that question, you have to ask the sifu's in the thread I provided. I've never done the transplant but I know of a old 525 i can get my hands on in the future. Maybe when my wallet is thicker and I'm more gatal.

As to your second question, it might be cheaper to do a transplant as 1jz and 2jz half-cuts are only a few K. Read the thread I provided, you'll get a better picture.

What the heck I let him pass although I was at 170kmh. Like supergripen said bukannya dapat hadiah. Maybe my balls is not big enuff. BMW is sheer driving pleasure of ultimate driving machine. It is not powerful driving machine. I've seen too many mishap on hiway. Even recent trip to Kulim saw the civic & luxury 4WD spins. Also a proton turtle up. Just syukur of what u have an E46 at age 22. I was riding Bas Mini Wilayah at that age.:listen:

How is it true ?
You can increase the HP by raising the VE. Up the RPM, increase compression, advance the timing, direct injection, port & polishing and etc.... Increase HP is the same for both NA and FI, is just easier with FI, and cheaper. With technology & science, you can replace what you lack in displacement.
