Waw, surprisingly had been 4 pages now while i'm going to outstation last few days. Thanks all bros for advising, appreciate all comments~

Had been driving the Civic for 2 years more, Yes, it is a great driver car, enjoy every minute of driving it. But it's poor sound proof make me sick when crusing on long distance journey, so hope to get a more comfort car but without less of driving pleasure:laugh::laugh: SO UDM is my 1st choice agaist all others german cars~ Had been considering these models:

1. Volskwagen Golf Gti MK6 - great performance, but look too feminize to me
2. Volskwagen Scirocco - great coupe, nice sharp, but not convinient to me
3. Mercedes C200K - low maintaince fees, new model, but bored to driving it

Will go for a test drive all 320i, 320d, 325 on this weekend,:burnout::burnout: any bros here can recommend nice showroom in Johor Bahru?

Hi Ryan! Yeah I am one of only 10 proud owners of the limited edition 320d, one of only 10 units ever produced, with a personally signed metal plaque by BMW's F1 driver. We also get the G-Force meter with rev lights performance-steering-wheel, side wings black carbon fiber mirrors and rear spoiler.

Here's the link bro!

Agreed, the compact hatchbacks are not so practical for a mature adult, more for kids/ girls. With regards to Mercedes Benz, they don't make proper drivers' cars, the setting are all wrong in every Benz! Steering ratio & weight, seating position, accelerator setup, etc. But hell, they make very reliable trucks and busses.

I understand your budget is somewhere around the 320i mark, and for the money that you are about to spend. I would highly recommend you consider the 320d. All the pros out weigh the cons. The engine noise and low-ish Hp issue can be over come by a new RAM air-intake, 2.5" cat back exhaust and ECU piggyback. Results, 210Hp, 410Nm and a nice blow-off noise. All that cost around RM$3500. You will also get a much more fun and personalised car to drive. Not to mention the total cost is still far less then a brand new 325i.
I traded my 2007 325i for the new 320d as the fuel consumption is far superior, the engine has less problems (verified by friend in Munich), and the ///M body kit as an added eye candy. When I say less problems, I mean for the first 3 years (within warranty), beyond that the maintenance cost can be rather steep. Where as the 2.5L Inline engines started giving me engine oil evaporation problems on the 2nd month of ownership, requiring regular refills to prevent engine damage. I have experienced this problem in both 325i and 525i. Annoying!

Anyways, happy shopping.

Yeah bro follow melvyn's advice, get the 320d...don't waste precious money and then kena headaches with the petrol 2.5L engines! Our friend traded his 325i for a 320d, now that's telling u you something, no?

Of course Ryan, if you are a multi-millionaire and petrol cost not a problem, get the 325i...spend 120MR full tank every 400km vs MR96 for 800km for the diesel....your choice, mate! And not counting the time wasted stopping by petrol stations every 3 days to pump,pump,pump....:listen::listen::eek::afraid:

Actually Benz only make good car for chauffeur but not for passion driver like us! (from what i experienced before) I'm a turbo lover here also, that'y i had both Volks fitted TSI engine in my consideration, really enjoy the feel when turbo kick-in:rock::rock::rock: HAHA, it'll be perfect if 320d comes with I-drive and 18inch M-sport rim on 325. Cant wait to test drive it!!

ryan88

I'm surprised to hear that you like Turbos... BMW used to be known for its N/A performance engine, until recently that ///M decided to go with Turbo... So sad. Turbo's are a great fun to drive, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't have that high-RPM racing feeling to it. Actually, the high-RPM raving is actually 1 of the bits I missed about the 325i. Maybe one day I might be able to afford a real ///M car.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you are about 21 years of age... Rather young. So if you really like turbos, the VW GTi will better suit you. Mods are easy as well.

i wonder what happen those days or future wen there isnt a 320d for u to drive?

ryan, yes , jaybee

Its not that the 320d is superior in every way... Its because it makes more sense to drive a diesel in the city... If more power is desired, low cost ECU mods easily boost the power by 30+ Hp. Makes good sense when considering the value. If it was out right power and joy of driving, then the ///M cars would better meet those needs.

Your style of expression is very familiar  All three of your posts have praised the 320d to high heaven. We all know already that it's the best car in the world, except maybe for the Bugatti Veyron...and it's actually better then the Veyron because it needs less fuel and is more GREEN. So...

It's expected that newbies introduce themselves in the newbie section, so please do.

Don't let him get to you ,mel! He's been around here for ages ....2000 over posts now and counting and thinks he owns the forum. Keeps labelling people newbies and putting them down. He's the only one is so 'familiar'. Got some real issues with the 320d but goes gaga at the thought of the 330d (not biturbo by the way!) and 335d coming to Malaysia.Totally 'familiar' double standards!I would use a stronger word...starts with H but out of respect,I won't, cos he might be a geriatric 60+ uncle. And I wonder whether he would still buy the 330d or 335d if its tailpipe was 'pointing down'? Only time will tell.....:motz:

Actually, they should be good, but nahhh, don't like a sports saloon that sounds like the 4WDs I've had.
