Thank you! Can the BMW engine runs FI without any piggyback system actually?
I supposed can do without piggyback but definitely need to remap the DME for proper fueling...

Thank you guys for the information!

I guess i know what to espect now. Would like to do a survey!

What other supercharger are u guys using other than Rotrex and ASA?

What are the price that u guys are paying for the supercharger?

 hey FI guys.. anyone out there runing SCs with steptronic?? daniel?? hows the steptronic holding up???

been told that the stepbox won't be able to take FI..heard some unconfirmed horror stories.juz wanna know if the stepbox can hold up..

So far with my standard SK1, the Stepbox is holding up to it.

No problems with slipping etc etc. But of course I no longer do the 3000rpm 5th gear to 5000rpm 2 gear kickdown! I am not sure it can handle it, do not want to try just to be on the safe side.

But of course a 330 torque converter would ease my mind.

:) changing to 330i torque convertor..is this possible without any problems?? has it been done before?? tried and tested??

oh yeah..and how much wud it cost??

i'm in a glut here..if i can't FI\SC my bimmer safely,i'm gonna have to get another car.

:) been reading some forum threads on FI'ing bimmers at other sites especially those in the US.plenty of FI'd e46 out there and they seemed to be fine.some even track their cars regularly without any problems.no doubt the climate there is different but those in miami for instance have almost the same climate as us..

having sc'd my car, i definitely wud have them again on my next car, unless it's a supercar la.. even then, there're developed sc kits even for the 996 and 997!!

and bro, u can always get more hands-on experience from our frens in singapore.. been tempted to take up their invitation to join their sepang track-days.. wanna also see how my car wud fare against their m3s, sc'd 325s, sc'd 330s, sc'd z4s and sc'd e39 530s..

cast iron vs alluminium vs allu-magnesium block? i believe most developed kits are not achieved instantly.. it's a result of continuous testing under the most 'likely' conditions, like any engine development? if u spend a bit more on coolers, fueling, tuning and gauges to compensate n monitor the 'alterations' on the operating limits of the engine, u wud then be minimising the risk, if not all (unless u lower the compression level?).. Hence the trd, impul, acs, etc add-on sc kits?

pls excuse my ignorance, i am learning here and there lah.. :D

p/s: and for those spreading rumours that my car is in the workshop due to the s/c, i truly cannot understand why.. sigh..

i don't thing S'pore has any SCed 325i. Mostly 330i.

I know how it feels like Adam, the 1st thing people ask me about my SC is whether its reliable. So if my car does end up in the workshop, that gonna be the 1st thing thats going to get blamed.

Super, yes the 330 torque converter will be a direct fit for the 325.

Super, I would think the 328 will take the 330 convertor without any problems.

Also, who's Dave?

david i think.. tho he sometimes gets people calling him dave? he's a nice fella, well at least to me.. brought me around spore when i was there

oh.. he's getting his other e39 a new m54 3ltr, with sk1.. not sure if he's putting in manual trans..

damn it . .with all these sc's thingies ...makes me really drool damn bad... ! now thinking should i upgrade to m3 first before bolting in a SC for the 400hp or SC my 330ci to 300bhp limited by auto-tranny and not upgrade ..both also mid-to-long term plans...darn it ..adliz, what car are you getting ? the e46 m3?
