Feedback on BMW Scanner 1.4.0

Bro all your millage are diff show from your results on DME/EGS/EWS/IKE/.... wow...rojak betul lar.. U refer my result mostly are the same why like that arr ?? Maybe kena kacau from Jpn side when they ship in to MY Bolih Land.

Well Japan car what to do... they do all sort of transplant... why not transplant an M3 engine aiyo alang

Hahahahah... like i said when car comes from Japan you will get all sort of item inside... and yes it is 1 Mil+ hahahaha....

@ Jarance... stil the same... ECU Still giving same reading... was thinking to reprogram everything... but need a guide a very good one before i start... its just like flashing an electronic card i guess... but not sure if its possible... all i want to do is program everything to follow my original Milage + Update on the software without chip changing or module switch...

I dont think you can update or reflash the firmware with the scanner 1.4.0. Maybe other program like GT1
may reflash but honestly I have never done it before.

Maybe you need to remove the battery terminals for about 5 minutes and allow all the modules to reboot.

5 Minutes? ive disconnected the battery for more thn 3 Hours when installing the Angel/Demon eye and Morimoto Last time... its no use

BTW ive read that you an actually do that (reprogram) By editing it with INPA/GT1 so now off to make my GT1 work with my car... ive just completed my Frankenstinish cable to make sure it work with my Ediabas/INPA Interface

today got my bmw scanner from mr jarance through poslaju and so i started to install the software BMW Scanner v1.4.0 and update all the necessary file from the link given in the 1st page of this thread. so before i plug it in into my car,i need confirmation from all of u about something. this is the screen shot from my lappy where i installed the software.

this is when i click on the software icon WITHOUT the scanner plug in into the usb.

this is what happen when i click on the "hardware faulty" window and somehow its show that this program crash.this is the details :

after that i try to open the software again WITH the scanner attach and only this window appear and the same error window appear after i clicking "ok".


so if i want to open the software again i need to remove the scanner first like picture #1.is that normal to happen like this?anyone?i still not attach it to my car as i need some confirmation about this first.many thanks

btw im using window 7 ultimate

kursk, you need to plug the scanner into the diagnostic port first and turn on the ignition before you
start the program for the first time.

i wonder what CLEAR DTC means?and where to get live data windows?and how to clear those errors?noobs here

Click CLEAR DTC and you'll clear all your error codes (only those that are clear-able). Happy Clearing!

Errr... before you clear anything you need to know what the errors are... do post the Log here... so we all can see might have a critical problem that cant be solve by just clearing it...
