Feedback on BMW Scanner 1.4.0

Im not guessing... this is confirmation since our car is actually identical... He cannot access any DME if he using under the dash connector... i just found out the Under Dash 16 pin is for Instrument cluster ONLY... i think the car was done so that you can actually do checks in the Interior from the Under Dash connector... and external checks can be acces from the Engine bay...

Alex need to restore his 20 pin first if he want to proceed... without the 20 pin even AB cannot do jack...

bro, if the scanner can detect the EGS, it should be able to detect the DME. This is because both modules are house
side by side in the engine compartment. The K-bus cable between the two modules should be there.

I think I know why your recent scan did not detect the DME. I suspect that you did not turn your
key to Ignition ON position prior to start of the scan.

Looking at your DME and xcrave,
alex - DME -> 7.526.753
xcra - DME -> 7.500.255

Your version is newer and is more updated.

After warm up, my car idling even at 700rpm is rather vibration free. It feel normal to me. Anyway, I had just changed new engine mounting and may be it does help a bit to filter out the minute vibration.

I just got hold of a simply DIY service/repair manual for E46. If you need, I can lend it to you anytime. I only use it for reference only as not really a DIY person.

Wanna sell to me bro? hahahaha... i need the manual... a lot of things need to understand and learn...

if not i think better i buy off ebay... there is a few good ones... BTW where you get urs and the price??

Oh...YES i did change the setting which i unchecked the Run car Identification at start up.

Errr... I said I can from BMW-S 1.4... but i use INPA more for Live Data since its more detailed...

But as i meantioned before he needs the 20 pin restored regardless...

i'll do it... this is not reflashing its like adding new settings based on reading... its not dangerous... its just INSANELY Dangerous... need a lot of cold greens before attempting this at home... wish me godly luck tonight... sometimes you just need to broke it in order to fix it... will save my bin as backup... if all goes bad... just revert to older Version... if still fail... call tow truck and send to MBS KK... get the Upgade etc... they have real GT1 Yellow head so no need scare... most is 1K damage

By the way i think there was another two forumer here was from KK who hv the same spec wt us, is more convenience u can get it from them. The two forumer name petrus and hassnul ka..if im not mistaken. Btw wish you good luck and pls don't tow your car to MPKK ya...ha...ha...

morrogan, I plot your data for the MAF. There is something wrong with the data. the curve cross.
I suspect some of your reading is out because you did not allow the rpm to stabilize for a few second before taking the MAF reading.

Your MAF reading is 12 kg/hr because your rpm is idling at 700 rpm whereas mine is 14.5 kg/hr idling at 780.

I check and find that DME reflash is NOT available for DME module using the scanner 1.4.
However, other module like LCM is available.

DME reflash - EEPROM Read/ Write - NO

LCM reflash - EEPROM Read/ Write - YES
