125 hp and 1060kg. 4-door version to come first. I hope Suzuki Msia doesn't sell out and bring in only auto versions.

The Swift Sport/GTi looks really sweet man... Reminds me of the Golf GTi styling cues from the front.

We should get a Vios 1.5 auto also in our comparo mix. Then can test

1) VVTi
2) Vtec
3) VVT

See who comes out tops hehe.

DAMN!!!! how sweet can a small hatch be!!!!

super nice looking Swift Sport!! maybe i shud hold back the purchase till this one comes in..but price might be an issue..

Who knows how good its really going to be, but I'm holding out until I drive it at least. Not to say I have much of a choice, anyway...limited $$$$ now. If its RM115k max OTR for a zero mileage stylish 4-door jap manual hatch, I'd say its a bargain for a new car in our pathetically auto-obsessed car market. You either settle for an ancient Satria GTI or go for broke (literally, for me!) with the MCS or 1.6 1 series, with absolute zilch in between. The 147 1.6 manual's out of the market though at under RM120k it was a tempting choice.

Suzuki Malaysia's APs have dried up, like most (if not all) other local distributors of CBUs. The local Swift community (can't remember their forum add) is getting organised and they seem to be just as enthusiastic about the Sport as we are, so you should check out the posts there for regular updates.

:) manual 1.5 swifts are now available for booking..but it'll take a maximum of 3 months to arrive on special order.i was told it'll cost about rm3k less than the auto and the spec will be the same as the auto.

very happy with the auto....

but if got manual...hmmm.....should be damn shiok!

but still, going to work from puchong to PJ in the morning....damn bitch la....forget it la.

Thanks supergripen for the info. I wonder if they will have test models. 3k less makes it just under 80K OTR. Wah...so tempting...

Just spoke to the Section 14 SMA dealer. Says that the manual will be based on the revised price, maybe 85K. Worryingly, it will be a CONVERSION done locally on auto models. No indication whatsoever on the Sport.

 uhhh???? the salesman at Mofaz(opposite IkEA) told me its manual all the way from Japan..when u think logically,it doesn't make sense to actually convert an auto to a manual where dealers or franchise holders are concerned..why wud they want to do such a thing??? it all just don't add up.

anyways,i'll have to reconfirm again with the guy..i hope u're wrong but if it is true,i won't risk it too..get the auto and be done with.

price wise,if it goes anywhere north of RM85K,i'll say goodbye to the Swift..ain't gonna be worth the price for a manual IMHO..

WKWOO quick!!!! check it out.
someone booked his pearl white manual swift already....
