my E30 320 underpower...help!

...am using M20B20 auto, have not done the valve clearance yet...does anbody knows how much does the manifold and the center bullet cost? or anybody want to sell theirs?

there's many possible causes..

if your engine is lack of power, it could be:

5. clutch slipping.. (are you using manual or auto?)

if you're using manual transmission,
and the car can't go faster than 110km/h,
and the fuel consumption is high..
i guess, more to clutch slipping problem..

send your car to workshop..

clutch slipping can happened if:

1. clutch plate worn..
2. clutch plate oil-soaked by leaking rear main seal..
3. warped pressure plate or flywheel..
4. weak diaphgarm spring..
5. clutch plate overheated..

solution..?
either repair or replace.. :D

mine is about 13litres just wanna know if mine is normal?

Why don't you just check the 3-series fuel consumption thread. There are reasons why its stikied on the 3-series thread.
 
probelm...problem...problem again...but my love to E30 is gettin's stronger sonce I got it last month.

...did the clearance and the car can shoot like a bullet but now the idling sucks! its like want to die or just like 1 cyclinder is not working...what could be possibly went wrong? it happened just after done the valve adjustment.
check the cable plug, distributor, spark plugs all ok...pening oredi!...aiya help sifooossss!!!
 
masalah timing ke..?

kalu baru buat valve clearence,
cuba check head gasket..
maybe ada leaking..

kalu takde leaking,
kita proceed ke lain2 lak..

itu yg memula aku tgk but it seems ok, no leaking...
so aper yg patut kita proceed skang?

if yes, please guide me hoe to get there.
 
alrite metalrizca! i found one workshop in kajang utama manns pro autoworks...
he found out that one of my cable plug is worn out, changed it and engine works fine now...

re-adjust the tappets again..of cos la money maaa (RM30)
engine tuning and stuff (50)
vacuum hose that goes sumwhere...(RM4)

total: RM84

...i was there today from 9am till 5pm...until i sleep-sleep chicken at the workshop...well he's ok but not that really up to my expectation...

proper valve adjustment tappets should be done when engine is dead cold......i.e. left overnight and adjusted early morning, either that you will still get improper valve clearance

so, why they give the hot clearence measurement..?
