Thanks in advance.

Bro thank you so much to paste the 3 diagram here, so which diagram u hint us to check it ?

Confirm working on Win7 64Bit

Check device manager>Search for the BMW Scanner14> Install by choosing the driver yourself

Choose Serial to USB (get from FTDI Driver)

http://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm

It will register as working but it will have an "!" mark dont worry its still working (at least mine did)

BTW...

The HID warning is still there... clear error is not enough... I guess i should buy INPA/EDIBAS next... didnt know that PASOFT 1.4 still not that Novice ...

Neways anyone up for buying a second hand set?

#1 It cannot clear the airbag sensor error (even after it was gone for a minute when i restart car it appears back)
#2 It cannot flash the OBCII to use HID retrofit
#3 Cant clear shadow (previous resolved errors)

xcrave, what is your OS? Win 7 - 64bit - Pro or Ultimate?

alex, this have been discuss before. IanD have advised on your problem before.
If there is no fuel leak solenoid, just ignore the alarm.

If you have, then look at item 20.

The suction jetpump for the fuel pump is a mechanical device. It does not have any sensor. So cannot be this alarm.
However, the jetpump do fail sometime. when it does, the passenger side tank will always be full and the driver side
will be empty. This will cause your car to stall even though you have half tank of petrol.

ahhhhhhh.....finally managed to download and install the programme and the driver.....hooked it up and scanned but not many modules were detected.....have yet to go to the coding pages and the live data page.....too tired oledi...age has caught up i suppose.....zzzzzzzzzz

just go easy bro. remember to take screen shot before/after coding. this will help you to recover if you screw up
your car setting.

xcrave,

BE/88 - Data-filing difference to central light module (LCM)

This means that the mileage in your Instrument cluster is not the same as the mileage stored in LCM. You should see mileage in RED in the 1st screen when you get connected. Mileage are stored in 3 or 4 modules.
If you mileage stored in LCM is every much greater than IKE, you mileage could have been tampered with unless you have change any of the IKE or LCM modules.

Im running Windows 7 Ultimate, I found the list of driver under Serial to USB...

Now looking out if this Pasoft Cable can be modded for a K-Line or DIS ?

I found this but later found out its not the same. (jumping the chip procedure 17,18->20)

@Iandaddy... well i kinda shot it i guess... originally it was 76K ish and after AP and recond they somewhat saved 20k out of the car :p

Was trying to fix the milage so that it will not have different FC value... but it wont let me... it reset to 0 then 56K

DIS/Gt1 use different protocol from BMW-Scanner. AFAIK, they are not compatible.

Just start a new thread in the group buy thread. the item should list the price and item.

Of course, do some R&D first about the supplier and the product and price.

thx bro will do that and order some samples first :)

Wish me luck

I know there is a way to mod the Pa Soft 1.4 to allow K-Line but i rather not ruin it since it works well with my win 7 64 bit setup... then again wanna sell it off once i got my DIS/INPA/EDIBAS connector (which cost more :( )

My review... if ur quite advance on tech please proceed to buy PA soft to get ur footing then move in to another higher level scanner...

PA SOFT is very user friendly but will be frustrating if you want to do advance programming :)

Kudos to Jarance on a quick guide to the world of BMW scanning

xcrave, if you know of a way to modify the scanner 1.4 to work with EDIBAS/DIS/GT1 program, please share.
I am sure many of us would be keen to know.

Ok, I manage to get everything installed last night. This morning, i scanned my car.
Most of the error are known error. I also manage to clear the Airbag Light cause by Driver Side Seat Belt Tensioner error.

My DSC light has been light up for 2 month++. Diagnose by few workshop saying that the steering angle sensor kaput. Some said need to change a new 1, and some said can reprogram back.

So here is my DSC/ABS error as well as my Steering Angle Sensor error.

Steering Angle Sensor Error

Any opinion?is it possible to try reprogram it back?Because I can see the value of the steering angle changing accordingly when i steer my steering to left & right.

p/s: looks like the live data not working on E46 318i (N42). The button of Live Data for DME & EGS was disabled. However for some other module, it works. Anybody tried the live data on N42?

kby, if I am not mistaken, I think there is an adaptation adjustment that you can perform for your steering.
