Has anyone actually purchase and install this gadget?Apexi SAFC for European cars. Saw it in N1 last weekend...

if u do get it pls post your results :)

If it was cheaper I woudn't mind getting it but it is almost at the RM2k level which is on par with better piggybacks.

Its called AFC-Select

Same Fuction with SAFC II at 12 Fine Tuining Point
Price at RM1500 including install and tuning (est)

It works worse than a piggyback but easy to tune.

i have one fitted. what you wanna know? it works for me......

not only does control the fuel/air ratio, it has numerous sensors with displays including a functional knock sensor!

Still it pales in comparison to something like SMT6 on the same price level which has much more tuning functions :-

Have you sent your car for dyno-tuning and what's the results?

Depends on what you've done to your car. If you've put on aftermarket exhaust and airfilter (minor mods), then you'll notice some minor gains (expect around 5%). If you've gone through major modifications then you'll notice more gains. The ecu can only maximise your current performance, so don't expect your car to gain 100hp just by adding the piggyback.

What are the gains dude? :D Enlighten us. :yahoo:
216whp.
29.93 degrees C.
Humidity 45%.

this is according to a DynoJet Dyno Machine, on other dynos, probably more.

A piggyback will only try to 'cheat' the OEM ECU by altering the sensor readings of the ECU.

Many other limiting factors will still hold you back.

e.g. Injectors, gearbox, fuel pump.
