Changed my 17 to 18 and now 20
17 is by far the most comfortable
18 shows immediate lagging and felt the car is heavier..
20 surprisingly lighter off the pedal but road noise is few notch higher.
Like many have said, I hope it will run in.. You can feel all the imperfection of the road with the 20s but it looks great...

Will see how it turn out after a month drive.

I am on Bridgestones S001.

Boss, we need some photos of how the 20" looks like with the car  I'm loving the new F10's

Hey man, can u post your car here? It so ecited to hear someone r buying the same rims. I am using the Mechelin Pilot Sport 2. I wonder what tyre u using? So far I think I'm ok with my aligment but I'm totally not happy with the tyre noise. It got some funny 'roaring sound'. I also found that this car is very sensitive with tyre pressures also, with different tyre pressures it feel different. Hopefully we can meet up and share our experience.

Eclipse,

Sorry for late reply, was traveling. Yes, i am using the Michelin Pilot Sport 2 too.

The rim and tires really gives you a sport look and you get drivers next to you giving you a second look.

Sad thing tho, the noise has gone up a few decibels on normal road but since DBKL has started to resurface some key roads in KL, the ride is wonderful with low noise and it gives you a wonderful feeling.

What pressure is your tires and have you tried using the nitrogen gas for your tire pressure.

Regards

My little review after 4500km with my 520d.
After been driving around for 4500KM, my 19" pilot Sport2 finally run in already (or may be myself run in already). Now I found that my F10 520d really drive and handle very well, the tyres bite the road surface very well on both dry and wet surface.
I currenly using front 225PSi and rear 230PSi. I know it a bit low, but I tried many set up before and I decided to use these pressure. BTW I found that diesel fuel from BHP is provide batter performance then Petronas (is it true or juz my feeling). For half highway half city avg speed 63km/h, I got 7.6l/100km. For me the F10 is a very stable car for high speed travel, but the E60 m-sport gave more fun on corners. Only complaint now is the super tint steering wheel......

Oh one more thing, I so great that BMW Malaysia included the VDC into our cars, I try out each mode in different type of road surface and condition, it really give me a different experience on each setting (sometimes big surprise). It like we paying the price for 1 car and get a few different cars.

Dear All,
I haven't gotten around to changing my wheels yet. However on checking, the distributor for Forgestar here has 2 sets of staggered 19" F14's available. There is a special discount if we can take both sets of his hands. Anyone interested? He can do the colour treatment to your liking as the wheels come bare.

The E87 offset should be same as the E9X. So it will fit... Correct me if I am wrong.
This car is Sg plate, shot taken at Munich motorsport showroom.

You were asking about 3M CR series tint, they have three colour, clear, VLT 90%, blue/ light grey, VLT 70% and black VLT 40%. the last one looks like the tint on this 1 series M.

Gorgeous man.... Looks perfect with the space grey, dude, you should get the M sport too.

The m-sport kit yes, but I think not the 20" wheel... Im married and I have one daughter now... tone down a bit lah.. I think the ride would be harsh for them too..

just to share this website, http://felgenkatalog.auto-treff.com/
the rims model with specs there, especially the weight in kilogram.
i guess to get back the similar feel of orignal 17" rims should be total weight of rim + tire.
looks like 281 is the lightest among all for 18" - 20"

im surprised that style 350 and 351 are not that heavy after all when comparing with the style 331..

I have been rolling on 20's for few days.. My wife to be didnt realise any difference ( I cranked up the music a bit so road noise intrusion less obvious) and my MIL who has slipped disc never complain any backache so far...

Even my pups who just underwent an operation sleep soundly at the rear seats the other day
