this is my first post. it should go into the classifieds but the sticky notes stipulate that i have to post a minimum of 25 times before i can place my ad there. by that time, my wheels might be too old to interest any potential buyers here.

i am expecting my Msports 528i next month. i am thinking of disposing the ori 18" 350 wheels that come with it to get the 19in 351. any takers pls pm me.
and what tyres to get for the 19" that offer a quiet ride?

My original set was the Goodyear RFT also. It was noisy but batter that my 19" now.
My tyre constantly have a 'roaring' wind like sound like those army truck in the highway, but of couse softer la. It start at 40kh/h and taken over by normal tyre sound when speed reach 100kmh.
I bought my rims from ' lim tayar' & they said it is normal since the back tyre now saiz at 275/35/19. Should sound louder.

I still feel very disappointed as I sent my car to 2 others tyre shop and both come with different expenation but no solution. Hopefully got bro. here with 19" rim can share their experiences. Thank you.

I think it's normal because you're on a bigger size. That said, the sidewalls, structure, etc are also stiffer. Include this with our Malaysian roads which are bad in quality, tyre noise is like a roaring tiger.

Do you have any problems with the alignment after changing the wheels.

Mine did, change to a set of BMW 331 19" (same as yours) yesterday evening and the alignment goes out of yack!!!

Need to send back this morning to AB for alignment and it is still not done. Still "Work In progress"

What tyres did you used? AB quote me Michelin

Hey man, can u post your car here? It so ecited to hear someone r buying the same rims. I am using the Mechelin Pilot Sport 2. I wonder what tyre u using? So far I think I'm ok with my aligment but I'm totally not happy with the tyre noise. It got some funny 'roaring sound'. I also found that this car is very sensitive with tyre pressures also, with different tyre pressures it feel different. Hopefully we can meet up and share our experience.

Still the same problem, sent in to Igress last week and they said nothing wrong with my car. Only the tyre making the sound. So far still looking for solution.
