Dear All,
New here. Will be getting my F10 528i M Sport shortly. Dealer tells me that I can't get larger rims put on the car coz it affects the suspension, must be with the Comfort and Sport setting. Any info on this will be much appreciated. Another thing...slightly offtopic..Can live without the sunroof, but dealer also says that some chassis can install reverse camera, some can't...eh...weird leh...anyways..would love to have 19s or 20s on the car...any advise, pointers would be great.

That's the most absurd statement I've heard coming from the dealer. I would assume the Msport comes with the M-Suspension and Variable Damper Control (VDC), but this would NOT be affected by rim size! Maybe it would sit closer to the side fender, but I think there's still ample room. How do you explain the guys with the Msport F10s with OEM 351s and 312s style on the car?

Your salesman is talking crap, BMW even sells 20 inch style 356 rims with runflat tyres as a package for RM22,000.

BTW, the local 528i M Sport comes with dynamic dampers... exactly the same suspension as the previous non-MSport 528i. There is nothing "MSport" about the suspension. There is no change.

BMW lets you have either a normal suspension, an MSport suspension, a variable damper suspension, or a variable damper suspension with active antirollbars. There's no MSport variable damper suspension.

exactly...and whats with the some chassis can install camera some cannot? arent they all the same? hope u can report which branch of bmw u visited so we can avoid that fella

Hey, any of u guys had 19" RFTs damaged by potholes so far on the F10 535i? My bro in law has gone through 4 Good Year RFTs (front tyres) in a space of 9 months, and then changed to Bridgestones and one of that just busted today as well after hitting a pothole at 15km/h!! What a freaking nightmare! The tyre bulges at places where the tyre wall has given way.

On the M Sport model, you need to remove the passive M Sport suspension to have the VDC or Adaptive Drive. They will revert to the SE suspension if you want to have the VDC or Adaptive Drive (VDC + Dynamic Drive) on the M Sport model.

Thanks for the info guys. Have got confirmation from the dealership that no warranty void with getting 19s on the car. Now to go look for a nice set to whack on.

Cheers again.
