That I haven't heard it before and it's the 1st time for me. So far I didn't notice any difference when I sent my car other then AB for alignment, unless they have the same machine as AB..then I wouldn't know about it.
Talked to SA at Ingress today. Was told that the worries at outside tire shop is that the alignment might trigger error message for integral active steering. If no error message is fine but the risk is always there. So if to do outside must go to the shop which has experience with BMW.Whay take chances..

So if you dont have integral active steering like the 520d, no problem?

That is my understanding..the sensor is for integral active steering

I'm waiting for my 535i sophisto grey for collection next week. The first destination for me is Sunway & I'm putting 20s on. The OEM 331 19s are really blend. Looking at either BBS CHR Black or similar. One thing I hope the tyre guys remember is to reinstall the TPMS...

PM me if you are selling the 331s. I'm looking to swap the 17"s on my 523i

19" V-spoke 331

Yeah I've changed my standard 528i rims with the 19" V-spoke 331 (original and brand new) with mixed tyres. The F10 definitely looks more proportionate with 19" rims. It's just subtle and not too flashy, the way i prefer my cars to be. Basically just simple and classy. And the ride and comfort is not compromised at all in my opinion. Btw, the 331s are not standard on the 535i models brought in by BMW Malaysia, it comes with 18" 328s. Only the recond 535i grey import models come with 331s.

alpina B5, you are correct :)

Drove down to singapore on the same day after taking delivery of the car to get the 331s. Surveyed a few places in Sunway and DU but had to order and wait for 2-3weeks. Auto Bavaria quoted RM22+k. Called Chin Wah (the name of the tyre shop) in singapore on killiney rd to check and they had the 331s in stock. All in it cost about RM16+k after currency conversion. But called them in advance and they got everything ready, took them only about 30 mins to get the job done. I changed my old E60 wheels there too. Chin Wah is very efficient with good service and is very well known in singapore and they handle a lot of high end continental cars. So, they are very experienced. Plus, have a peace of mind knowing that it's original. Well worth the drive down.

I saw a set of brand new 19" 331 selling at LIM TAYAR TTDI. They were asking for RM 13K. Perhaps you can get a better deal here.

Includes tyres?

Nope, just the wheels. But I think their prices are very competitive. Hup Shun in Sunway offered me similar prices for a set of Goodyear Sportmax TT 20" and I thought they were a good deal till I went to Lim Tayar!

guys can you recommend some websites of local shops that have 19" rims for BMW (i.e so I can look at what designs are available locally)and also some shops. Really like the hamann rims but probably to expensive for the likes of me.....

Also can I get any rims for my F10? or are there special ones that fit only the F10?

The F10 is still relatively new so not many rim shops carry its specs. Your best bet is Sunway & Lim Tayar @ TTDI
