I was choosing between an E30 or E39 for a daily driver about 3 months back, hence came about this forum looking for answers, which is when I read about Optimum. Went to Jason's place the next day to have a chat with him and seek for some advise, he was extremely friendly and helpful in helping me make a decision based on my needs, he compared prices of spare parts between both, maintenance costs, what to look out for. Basically everything i needed to know/look out for when choosing a car. Then started my soul searching journey.
After 3 months of used car dealership and forum searching, I finally found my dream car, drove the car over straight to him(don't event know if he remembers me after 3 months) for a through inspection and there he went telling me the items that need replacing/repairs and a rough estimate for the repairs. At the end of everything, he gave his advise and feedback all without charging me a single cent, even when i insisted cos he took about an hour of his time to go through the car.
Some might say that he charges slightly higher, but to me, its services like this that make you feel your money is well spent!

Have previously written about the great service I gotten from the Optimum guys in my E32 thread, they never fail to get back to me after my first time visiting them last year for a full-blown overhaul of the pistons and etc, and I've never looked back since.
And yes, someone did mention before, goodwill will come eventually. I have stated before that on few occasions when I went back to them to ask them to adjust some minor stuff here and there, they didn't even charge me a single cent. Imagine how I felt about not wanting to pay for services, so I ended up paying a token amount to the fella who helped fixed my car and drove off without any guilt.
It's service like this which makes my visits to Optimum one of the best workshop experiences I ever had. :top:
