Went yesterday to get my new, old rims which had just come back from refurbishment.
Car waiting to get her old shoes taken off!

Old shoes taken off - 18" Cromodora Staggered

    New shoes going on - 18" Style 32 Non-staggered
    Finishing: Graphite

Car's looking good with its new shoes on. Colour of the rims matches against overall look of the car. Overall i'm quite happy with the finishing of the rim refurbishment, the overall look of the rim. It's been a good week. :)

Sunny Car Care at Taman Sea in PJ. Call Calvin at 0193830375 if you need further directions.
M1 sends some of their customers cars there as well.

They sent it to a 3rd party. All in all the rims looked a lil worn out when I got them hence the refurbishment. End result came out looking good and I'm quite happy with the work.

The Cromodora design is nice but it's a lil on the heavy side.

Ride quality will affected if lowered. Unless there is a way to maintain a not too dissimilar ride quality.

Not really. Since u only on 18" rim, comfort is still there. Eibach with standard absorber should be ok.
By the way how old are you.

Ok. Nice to know. My previous experience with installing lowered springs always ended with the ride being too bumpy which felt lousy especially during highway driving. Much prefer the ride quality of stiffer shocks with standard springs combo.

Why the sudden question of age? Hahahaha... Did I come off sounding old? Nah... I'm in my early 30's.

hahaha the question of age due to maybe some older guys prefer comfort. Since ur in early 30 & like stiffer shocks, my suggestion is bilstein B8 & eibach combo. My ex E39 was still reasonably comfort with B8 monotube/H&R spring combo although on 19" rim. E39 is one hell of a car.

Was thinking of upgrading the antiroll bars 1st. Whats the difference between the different bilstein models?
I quite like the comfort but like my car to stick to corners.

Your ride will be harsher if you change thicker roll bars. Change the basic thing first like absober to improve handling. Its very subjective to each person on handling & comfort. You cant have both world but you can compromise between both. Try to search in the forum. It has been discuss many times. The rest you have to test the ride between all suspension to suit your liking.

Alright dude will look it up.

    JFT63:
    Nice info... thanks.

Anyway, don't think i'll be doing anything else to the car just yet. Had a breakdown on Sunday and had to get my car towed. As luck would have it, i broke down just outside Kayu Ara so M1 was close by.

So far their diagnosis is that the gear lever swith and another part associated with it at the gearbox has malfunctioned. There is also a leak in my radiator and since its not the first time either decided to get it changed and one of my pulleys has cracked so that will go to.

Add on my regular servicing and changing of brakepads, looks like i'm looking at a big bill coming.

Total damage was RM4k+ for associated parts, labour, for normal servicing and to replace rear brake pads.
