sorry guys.. y dun this club sewa the sepang circuit the whole day. so every member can drive in d circuit with their precius beemer.

bcos 95% of the people in here too sayang their kereta either that bcos their suspension too soft or bcos their brakes not good enough or bcos the tire not good enough bcos they think to masuk track the car also must be track prepared...Anyway we have done trackdays and we also have HPC but respond is not very good so very hard to collectively come out with the money to rent the track just solely for the club but there are a few who quite regularly join the open track days.

We know you got good intention...but when there's a trackday, driving course and activities being organised , they all love to post their name on the list, tok kok, bragged about how fast they drive but 70% of them would FFK !!!!

You'll noticed...sooner or later.

haha.. but what zoggee says is true la... unfortunately, most ultimate driving machines are not really used as such. but this is not something thats only inherent in the bmw club, but all car clubs in malaysia. Even clubs that specifically call themselves "performance" clubs do not go for trackdays, or even attempt simple grass roots events like GRA and R3 Time Attack. But no pressure la.. its up to the individual what he/she wants to do with their car, its all good.

btw, anyone interested to start out in a grassroots autocross/gymkhana type event, can pm me if you want to know how to get started. ;) if you want to go rallying, can pm me also.hahhaah.

haha gary, talking about rallying
i read ur news lah good stuff man
way to go

came back this morning at 5 am from Sepang for the Transit Sound of Smoke, test drove Hachiroku's AE86. was there with him by invitation from the 3S Generation Club( The Celica guys). 5 laps allowed on the North Track...all I can say is..

wuuuhhhhhooooo!!!!!!!

yet ...dun see a BMW in the track.* sigh*

I do track in my humble old EF, not my beemer, as it would take A LOT more money to do track in a beemer. My EF's b16 engine is solid as a rock. I've been to at least 8-9 trackdays thus far and i've done nothing but change oil and oil filter!! And yeah, the brakes pads and fluids have been changed quite a bit to. Other than that, its some basic suspension upgrades and a good set of tyres (AD07's in this case) and you're pretty much ready for a whole afternoon of fun. I'm no hardcore racer, just hobby for fun thing...

I dread to think what i would have needed to change if it was a beemer. It would take a lot more to prep a Beemer for track. Even the everyday ware and tare of Beemer is quite a toll on the wallet. I guess Jap tech takes beatings much better that German tech...

My fav corners... Long sweeping 3 braking into 4, than long sweeping and understeering 5 and 6 leading into 7 and 8 where its two corners taken like one big corner... :D
Turn 12 and 13 just sucks my balls in each time. They say these corners seperate the men from the boys... i guess i'm still a boy when it come to these 2 corners.. super fun none-the-less...

But my EF will probaly have to go soon. Financially, the money is needed elsewhere. But at least i can say i've been there. If money permits in the future, i'd definately be back... fingers crossed its a DC5!!! I love Beemers, but u can't take the Honda out of me either... :p :D
