guys..sorry, maybe a stupid question:
will the punctured-tire sensor works when not on RFTs and also if punctured RFTs can be plugged too ?

If I am not mistaken, our cars (using Tye Pressure Indicator - TPI) do not have a sensor on the wheel to detect punctures. Unlike the Tyre Pressure Monitor - TPM option which has a sensor on the wheel which monitors the exact tyre pressures of the tyre. Ours is more like measuring deltas of the rolling diameter which will indicate a flat. Not so high tech, but easier and less hassle with rim/tyre swaps I guess.

E46F is right. Ours is with the Flat Tire Monitor - FTM not the Tire Pressure Monitor - TPM.

I have a nasty habit on pumping my tyres once a month and yet don't bother to re-initialise my FTM. Do you guys maintain that discipline?

Only pumped my tyre once.. yes, reset the "flat indicator" before driving off the car. Should make it a habit to reset. Otherwise, u may get false alarm once your rear tyre has more wear than the front giving out deltas in revolution between the front and rear.

I initially trusted the service center to do a good job la.. how to expect a 2 week old car tyre pressure not accurate wan.. after I complaint alignment problem to them, they fix it and say they adjusted my tyre pressure. Confirm the ride is much softer and nicer after that. But after that, I never trusted them lio...

I immediately went and check my tyre pressure one cooling Sunday morning. To my surprise, my front tyres are inflated with 240kpa and while my rear was 235kpa !!! :stupid:

So I readjusted it to 200/210. Now the ride is even much better!

Astroboy, 200/210 kpa is a bit low I think. I am running mine with 32psi front and 35psi rear.

depends on whether you want to induce over or under steer

I'm doing 34 psi for the front and 36 psi for the rear which is slightly below specs but I still find it hard on the stoopid RFTs. If I were to go any lower, the side threads of my RFTs will get uneven. Best solution... get rid of the RFTs!

Found this mod with the BMW SG guys are doing. Swapping out the stock gear knob to the M5 gear knob. SGD450 installed. I like the way it lights up :top: . Time to give Eddie a call LOL. Group buy?

The recommended was I think 200/230 for 4 person + luggage. Since its mostly used for office commuting, no passenger, no luggage and heck! its a 50/50 weight distribution chassis what, tyre size also same, I should put both 200/200 So my 200/210 is very "generous" lio

Anyway, will monitor the tyre wear closely. If really is under inflate, FC and pick up should suffer but my suspension and bush should last longer..
