:D thanx guys..good info.anyone want to add more please do so.
:yes!: at the moment i've already got a set of brembos so braking is settled.
:dunno: only thing i'm worried about is the step box.i've checked the ratings and its within but still..our climatic conditions are somwhat different from germany or the states so might hv to do something to cover that angle.
 not too worried bout fuel consumption cuz this is my second car.. i've got a kelisa(soon to be upgraded to myvi) for everyday balachi work.
:) i can get 255 section tires to replace the 225 i've got now,no hal..
 don't the SC kit come complete with ECU and injectors?? dunno, gotta chk the website again..
:) if i do the install then i'll surely use Vpower..highest octane rating right?
anything i left out??
u've covered pretty much all the necessities.. the rest are optional.. but i'd highly recommend better plugs. also, injectors and ecu flash are included in some kits, not all.. gud luck!!

p/s: 255 still gets the car spinning.. B) but u might not want too much traction, unless u upgrade drive shaft n coupling..

Oh Ok. I knew you were at Sepang. the one with AA SC. I thought was 19. Anyway, how is your AA SC? What the HP like?

:D dunno yet bro..i'm actually gathering info and doing research right now. at the same time got to gather money as well hahaha ;)
not cheap wo!
tell u the truth i almost bought a skyline r34 gtr..wanted a taste of forced induction but when the wifey saw the car she freaked out.so i got a e46 instead..hence the SC aspirations!! at least i'll still get forced induction but with a little bit of class and finesse.it'll be a sleeper as well, compared to a skyline(all wings and brutal whistling and blowing!!!).plus its got 4doors compared to 2.

Skyline? Hmmm... too ah benglah I think. Luckily you did not for it. But I think the adrenalin rush is better than a supercharged e46.

Engine tolerances when doing SuperCharging.

1) FPR and injectors. They can handle 20% net increase.

2) Gearbox. Steptronic can handle between 15%-20% depending on the boost buildup. It is one of the weaknes points of the drivline.
For manual tranny, the clutch is the weakest part and is the FIRST to go , if stock clutch is used. change to M-class clutch or heavy-duty sach or equivalent.
Manual drivetrain can handle 40-45% power increase.

3) Oil. Tranny coolers and engine oil coolers recommended due to higher heat built up levels.

4) Brakes will wear out faster due to greater acceleration, meaning harder stopping needed. Rotor may warp sooner if hard braking is used often.

PS: For M50B25, 20% power increase is 192hp -> 230HP crank. This already makes the car feel very different. Besides the torque curve will be different so the car gets going a lot faster. Your diff ratio will soon be a limit as 1st gear is pretty useless, you start in 2nd gear, so you effectively lose one gear!. Argh, 4 speed manual. But a fast one.

mine is ASA.. casanova (superb red widebody hamann coupe) has the AA.. i have similar hp to him, but boosting at 5.5 psi compared to his 8psi. the AA has proven itself with very, very minimal issues while boosting at much higher boost compared to ASA. Hence, ASA has a stage2, boosting 7.5psi and custom exhaust system..

p/s: getting an s/c wont get u the fastest car, but it'd make the car much more enjoyable to drive.. just like what e34euro already explained..

you can get a higher boost for the ASA, most common is the 6.5psi.

they ASA uses less boost but has about the same hp as the AA because the ASA's charger has a higher efficiency.

AA uses ECU flashing while the ASA uses a piggyback system in terms of software.

I really recommend brake upgrade and better spark plugs. AA comes with higher rated fuel injectors and ASA doesn't.

both are very well made kits, just down to preference.

casa's ride is a pimp!! u guys shud see it for yourself!! the most completed makeover udm , both in performance n aesthetics, not to forget the polk momo ICE setup.. emm, i wish...

Adliz, Casa, Euro34...

Does any of you guys experience any lag like the ommmph only comes at 3000rpm?

Arms

:D correct me if i'm wrong but SC'd engines will maintain the original character of the power delivery right?only much more powerful lah..

Theoritically yes, but actual not sure. Though the lag is not like turbo but still there are some band i.e. 3000 to 3500 where you can feel the sudden rush.

Anyway, it doesn't matter as long as it still give you the kick...

SuperG, if money is not of a problem, SC will be the best upgrade you can do, me thinks anyway.

:D yeah i think so too.. well worth the investment although its no small amount.life is short and why skimp on what u love..enjoy while u still can.
 guys,i've got another question.how many of u with SCs use auto tranny?? if so,what are the worries, precautions and problems that u face with it?? can the stepbox take the power, torque and heat increase??
