Flag down on the way back from kuantan after the east coast highway last tol. The police officer told me the shoot 20kms back around the interchange. Darn! It was 10pm at nite. caught doing 136km/h.

Nahhh! Suitable roadblock spots are not that plentiful as they must satisfy certain conditions to work well and ensure a worthwhile catch of fish. Besides there are a number of reporting web and twitter sites already. I can't be bothered with them... more fun to share like this.

Hmmm...10pm eh? I've been caught there too, many years back. Never knew where the gun was. Which interchange do you mean?

Fresh: Kejara demerit system to be revamped...finally...:(. All summons need to be settled within a month or you collect points. Once hit 15 points...your license will be temporarily suspended. Similar system has been practiced in many developed and near-developed countries for many many years.

enkil - ur car can do 136km  only meh? Step harder on the accerelator, then u cannot be seen.

We should have a sticky on this to register all the locations.
just googled and found this
http://amdtaufik.com/malaysia/2009/07/list-of-speed-trap-in-malaysia/
I'm sure there are other lists...

Maybe the sticky should be updated just like the tyre price list??

93km/hr? Gosh, really very painful to know that you've tried not to speed, and yet still get punished to the max. If only value of summonses gets issued in relation to the speed we're travelling. The higher, the more we pay. :stupid:

Yar lor, if I knew I was going to be tagged, I would have done it in a big way.

I would have done 200km/h so when I go to the police to pay the summons, I will buy the photo, blow it up and hang it on my wall. At least for RM300 I would have done something I could be proud off.

Salut

Solo, if you were tagged at 93kmh in a 90kmh zone, I think you could have challenged it. I'm sure their SOP will have a +- margin of error to allow for instrument inaccuracy. When I was tagged at DUKE, the cop told me that if I stay below 100kmh, I would be safe...it's a 90kmh zone.

Tagged 93km/h in a 70km/h zone so after adding 10% over the speed limit, I'm still over by a big margin.

Salut

Latest info: The copper under the Intan flyover at Jln Bukit Kiara heading towards PJ/Kerinchi has been there at least from 10:30am until 2:30pm today (Sat), the 3 times I drove past. But there was no roadblock after the rise as usual. They may have switched to saman ekor mode there. :listen:

Oops! You speedhog! :)

Yar lor but a pathetic speed hog. I'm sure in KL anything below 100km/h is a waste of the car, especially a BMW. I regularly see kancil's break 100km/h in Kuching.

Salut

Latest info: The trap on the Connaught highway to Cheras has been moved forward. The copper is now under the first flyover from the Federal Highway entry and the roadblock is well before the toll plaza. Caught a lot of people by surprise this morning. :)

huyooo...how i'm gonna drive here when i have been advised that my economical riding would be at 140 to 150km/h...hehehe
