Petrol?? BHP vs Caltex

Just to start a discussion:which petrol is better? the Infiniti from BHP or Techron from Caltex?can we hear feedbacks from those using these two gas?

vios now on esso 97...back to normal...
518 now on esso 97 coz that day kennot find v-power...fc increase to 21l/100km (this one with new air filter installed...can notice fc better liau)...if i remember correctly caltex 97 gip me about 20l/100km also (this one i was driving very slow la) but BHP 'double shot' 95 does not work on my car coz i only get 25l/100km even if driving slow...on BHP 97 i get about 22+l/100km

I am on Shell RON95 now, 1st tank was vomit blood, after few tanks now, response improve a little, can still do 150kph on Fedaral... Oh! I'm referring to VVTi 1.3L MPV..

I know the lightest fuel is still Caltex Techron... the best petrol to use to cleaning sludge from inside the engines, I've checked with many foremen, cars, trucks & bikes alike

BTW, basic FC calculation is just crap la dei. It's not as if you flers are comparing these brands whilst doing NASCAR ovals

I use on Esso or BHP(the RON 97s la) on my ride, only because of the instant response... not much difference between these 2.

er me thinks the general public wud stick to 95 ler.... not all can afford 97 lor...

FC depends on many things..... not just the gas... this point i agree...

There's this little magic pill sold at ENEOS that I was told after tambah into RON95, Avanza on RON95 can fly! effect very good. Boleh dipertimbangkan..

RM24 untuk 6 biji, 1 biji untuk 1 tank je la. Tak payah letak banyak. Viagra telan lebih tak sihat.. :wink:

becos u can collect points and later redeem the points for free petrol = u get something back which is useful !! that's about it that i know !!!

If have to choose between these two fuel, then definitely will go for Caltex. I rarely use it though. Most of the time its either Shell V Power or Petronas Primax.

i see your point. there are many out there who wouldn't mind paying the RM12 extra for 60 liters of VPower over the 97. for me, it is 95 for my lazy E34 and VPower for the more fuel-sensitive E46.

Ron 97 sell on most caltex, petronas remove most of its ron97 and only left it with 95.
Actually till date caltex got the cleanest fuel even compare to Shell V power because shell did file a case against caltex when the commercial came out from caltex mention it got the cleanest fuel. after all the test, shell lost the case because the Tehcron formula is the best in market so far.

After reading all the post in this thread i decided to give Caltex a try. First impression is very good, i notice it's more smoother on the engine compared to Shell97 and better throttle response. But am a long time BHP97 user and imo the throttle response is better on BHP lar but it's very close between the two. Overall i'm pleased with the results thus far Hopefully the techron additives will do it's job and clean my engine (after a few fill ups) as claim by Caltex
