just got an sms from the SM at Audi Hangar...they are selling off the last 10 units of B7 2.0T at RM240k. Is this a good deal?

Nah, not when the new B8 1.8T is RM235k and now more powerful at 160 bhp 250 Nm. It's a different proposition than the E46 325i vs. E90 320i where I would go for the E46 6-potter.

B7 2.0T = Golf GTi Engine, no?

maybe it's time for BMW to put turbo into all it's range of engines and show who's the boss again.

i totally totally agree with u 1000%!!!!!! oh how wonderful it would be for BMW to get back into turbocharging..having owned a turbo car before, its just in a different level of performance.

it was heartbreaking to see the new M3 being thrashed by numerous car mags when it was tested against the GT-R and the GT3 RS.same thing happened when the M5 Touring was tested against the RS6 which i think is a little unfair looking at the power advantage that the RS6's turbos gave it..

its about time BMW gets back into the fray.. hell,it would even give the 320i a fighting chance.its supposed to be a sports saloon innit??

the 3 series is still better to drive

Turbo charged a car is what Malaysian called Wira-lution, Waja-lution or Kancilution.. :D

Running a turbo engine is very different compare to NA engine and be mindful of what u r getting into.. things like oil change even 3,000km to keep the turbine in tip top condition must not be neglected..

I prefer NA anytime! Turbo is only as much fun as consuming vigra, preference for some though..

We have N54B30 2979cc Twin Turbo 306hp.
And it don't need 3000km engine oil service interval.

I don't care, I'm getting a GTR in 2 years!!

some turbo cars that are different animals to the many ****-lutions that are on our roads today for our reflection..

Audi A4/A6 1.8/2.0TFSi
BMW 335i/535i(US ver) biturbo
Brabus EV12/SV12 biturbo
Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo
Ford Focus RS
Merc B200 Turbo
Mini Cooper S
Porsche 911 Turbo/GT2/Cayenne Turbo S
Saab 9-3/9-5t
Volvo S40/S60/S80 T5/T6
..and last but not least VW Golf GTi/Jetta GLi/Passat 2.0TFSi.

these are just to name a few..and don't get me started on the japs:3:

note also that the next M5 is rumoured to incorporate biturbo technology as well:burnout::burnout:

on another dev,i've just found out that the A4 1.8TFSi's engine can be tweaked to make 220bhp/370Nm,just via the ECU!! ain't turbos amazing??!!

birturbo? i have quadturbo, the grand daddy of all cars, the bugatti veyron(a very expensive volkswagen) uses it

NA are for boys....
TURBO are for daddies...

$$ per HP are always cheaper in Turbo form

:D :D

I agree that turbo is the way to go for modern cars. With direct fuel injection engines you get virtually zero lag and excellent fuel economy. Just check out the best engines in the world today, the VW/Audi 2.0TFSI, BMW N54, and VW 1.4TFSI. Best in their respective displacements.

M5 with Turbo:eek:

any news on when the new B8 2.0TFSI Quattro hits the shore?..

don think so fast, the audi in malaysia just launched the 18tfsi, sure they damn dulan now, affect their business, one thing though , the price, its pretty reasonable, its good looking and cheap and its a cbu, plus it has a screen in the middle, the bmw 3er and the merc sissy-class(c-klasse) is ckd

I have to agree, I love love love turbo cars, I used to go around in my ex's Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo, it was goood. Manual cars are goooood.

Before settling down with my car, I was actually toying with the idea of Passat or a C-Class but yea, I heard a lot a lot bout' C-Class so I have scratch the idea, but then again.. the Passat doesn't look anything for my age. Anyhooo beemer rox! My undying love for it. Heh.

A4 is gorgeous, my mom used to drive one couple of years back but she was robbed at knife point. A camry knocked her on the road then came the robbers so, she has finally settled down with a 4 wheel drive. kakakaka.

I told her to get another A4, she said no. ;(

yea malaysia forces people to have auto transmission, so far the only euro car i know with manual transmission is the volkswagen polo gti
