M30 3.5L for E34

it is that time of the year again and i am thinking about doing some work to my car. anybody know where i can source for an m30 3.5 liter auto? is it easy to get? I have been searching but i can find none. how much does this usually sell for? i'm thinking about getting a half cut plus diff and shaft, brakes etc. thanks people.

There is one half-cut E34 535i Auto selling in Muar. 4.5K. Dunno whether still available.Naza2,Errr ... Why dun u change to manual .... Can out-run Mr Hard Gay anytime ... 323i or 328i .. no sweat

heheheheh... another car sounds very tempting but i dont think i can afford it now. next year perhaps. i love the manual but too bad she can't really drive auto and she hates it in the city. compromise my friend, will bring extra happiness in the end

In Muar ? Ahh much - much lower than Japanese spec 1/2 cuts 525i M20 at Batu Pahat....Care to tell me which part in Muar ? - Tg Agas ?- JPJ Muar ?

mmmm , that place got a lot sport rim . Mostly e36 & e46 . If you see in MTthat advertise BMW sport rim ie location MUAR . It's that place.

i believe its an S420 dont talk to anybody there but him.....once i saw an E39 M5 1/2 cut there...

535,I am thinking to upg e34 M20B20 to B25... that's enuff for me, engine looks the same to B20, you know what i mean... my wife drivin' 730i only...Don't mind upg my wife M30B30 to B35 oso, ada enjin kosong M30B35 murah murah? don't little power...rahman

ok.. based on my 2 weeks research: m30b35 half cut is hard to get. some shops can order it but it will cost more/takes longer time.

however, i can find engines for sale. the problem is, what else do i have to buy aside from engine/transmission and wiring? radiator, brakes, diffs, prop shaft, etc?? any recommendation where i should get these parts? i prefer to buy these all at once at one single place, if possible.

anybody has done this before? how deep was the hole in your pocket? 10k? more? TIA.

naza2, why do you need a 3.5L engine ? for torque or hp's?

have you check the power difference between M30B35 engine output and M50B25 or M52B28 engines.. getting a old engine doesn't mean that more power or torgue.. using a B25 engine would also give you almost similar gains as B35, maybe a little more but wasting petrol if you ask me..
