looks like the transponder is embedded inside the resin behind the battery

Normally a transponder consist if a small chip (size of a grain of rice and coil of very thin wires) - these are normally cast in resin to protect the very thin wires. By the way, is this forum server being attacked. Its been hard to get into the threads - lots of time out

Your youtube clearly shown is electronic problem causing not able to start engine. The remote been shown in the video is CAS2 original remote. Cutting the key will not gives you any help. You have to understand how BMW ignition works. Manage to get the flip key working is very easy, you just need to make a start engine chips as i done usually and put into the flip key then for sure you can start your engine. This is due to this flip key is specially design for this purpose. At the same time you can put your original remote into the flip key but just only not able to charge the battery. That is why this flip key is more suitable to put China non rechargeable remote in.

Or you remove EWS ignition antenna and do some modification so that the antenna can stays out a little bit in order to contact with the original diamond shape remote.

Or with using Original diamond shape remote able to start the engine and able to charge the battery...................... To be continue.............In research..................
