If u are talking about smart key flip casting look alike smart FOB with china diamond shape remote, the answer is YES for 3 buttons remote

Understood, they are meant for diamond shaped. I was hoping more from the old rubber type to diamond 3 buttons.

Yes is the Diamond shape that you shown in the picture. But the old rubber not able to do this due to China not produces such a casing for old rubber type. Your key is 3 buttons can convert into diamond shape remote directly.

i believed ive this issue too. iim intend to change the old rubber key (1st pic) to diamond key. any idea how/where/how much to do?? thanks in advance

Just buy the china diamond shape remote and key shell. Transfer the transponder to diamond shape key shell and set the remote then u can use the diamond shape key already

I just placed an order to try out this key from ebay....http://www.ebay.com/itm/110939051108?item=110939051108&viewitem=&vxp=mtr. Hopefully it will work. I will get the blank key cut at local lock smith costing about RM80.00.

Dont throw keep it as your spare key for maintain the key thread. Where got people throw away just like this.

This is the chip i always make. This is for china remote key. Original diamond shape remote, you cannot put this. Original remote charge battery using the coil and the coil works like a transponder to communication with ignition. Once you not able to start the engine also meaning not able to charge the battery. Owner insist of using original diamond shape remote is because it can recharge. If not able to recharge then is no meaning for you to use original diamond shape remote.

Now, it all makes sense if you wanna change the diamond key to the folding type. (obviously with issues mentioned by tweiboon bro). What about changing from the old rubber type to diamond at least? Is that even possible? :love:

I am quite sure it is going to work as otherwise this guy from Austria ebay won't be selling it. If from China I will certainly be doubtful.....
