i think better to settle things for both parties off the forum... This ain't no battleground...

Da reason I post here is 2 share my experiences...& only giving suggestions. Forummers here r mature enough 2 judge 4 themselves...Dont worry, we r not using this forum as a battleground...

This is getting more interesting.. and confusing.. :stupid:

Ada MPower, MPowder, ada Nathan, Nutton, Mutton.. maybe there are not the same.. this is more trickier than Lingam case ne..

Operating a business, I believe MPower has their own frequent customers la.. if there were really fly by nite, why are there still here? There would be rotten oranges in a basket but what matter is there should be more good oranges la..

I have good relationship with my pomen and no matter what people say, I will still return to him la.

Trust me... there really are some element of profiting from a business transaction la, otherwise close shop lio. Sustaining a business is not easy la.. Sell list price also people complain, discount 20% also people complain not enough.. actually hor, give free things also got people complain wan.. :D

Take for example, all bushes can be pumped out and just replace the bush or bearing instead of replacing the entire arm la, same with alternator and what not. But most workshops won't offer those solutions but instead, get you to replace the entire item.

Absorber also got service kit ma, why people replace absorber..

Of course, claiming something is faulty when its not, is an unethical con job la..

The truth is out there..

I have seen many workshops got con by customers too.. I think Nathan would know all these tricks by now to steer clear from these errant customers.

Remember, as any human being, pomen can be wrong or "inexperience".. for major jobs, a 2nd opinion is a smart move. Don't trust anybody because human being can be wrong, whether intentional or not..

It takes 2 parties to battle... and I think it won't do good for MPower in the long run shall this battle continue as reputation is at stake.

Sometime keeping quiet is the best policy..

To those trying to convey a negative experience about this workshop, we hear you, we got your message.

Just my 2 sen opinion.. actually moderator can just drop in and close the thread and PM those involved to settle outside the forum.

will be monitoring this time bomb... tick.. tick.. tick..

Astroboy... just one question...answer me nicely... okay ? just to keep the debate going...

Q: Tell me your utmost reaction to the 'pomen' if you were caught in the same situation as Badbone or Wolverine ?

Hey mate, this is a car forum about passion for a particular brand. I do not see the reasons why this thread should be closed.

I appreciate and so do a lot of others here, of what Wolverine and Badbone have done here. They are simply sharing their own experiences with Mpowder for our own deliberation. Who knows, this may help us avoid similar events from happening to us in near future.

At the same time, there are also some forumers who have positive reviews on Mpowder. At the end of the day, having knowledge of others' experiences, it is up to us to decide on whether we would still like to use their services.

Of course, it is understandable why Wolverine is a bit edgy when he relates his experiences. Guys, he was travelling with his whole family to Malacca right after the control arm job done to his car. He is simply very very very lucky that nothing serious happened to him, his family or his car. Do you think any of you may be luckier than him in the near future?

In view of all this, I strongly suggest that this kind of threads should not be just closed by our moderators. This is a forum where we should be able to discuss this matters too. Let every forumers to judge it themselves as matured beings. By the way, we ARE forumers and car owners,we should stick together as one and respect others postings here.

P/S: I've been to Mpowder twice this past 5 months. From my own observation, I can assure you that I will never ever send my ride there.

Well said...

hey guys.... got somemore story...

I personally had experience 1 close con job by dat Mr.Nutton fellow on my engine starter.

Back in Dec 2006, my car e28 525i m30 went in to Mpowder 4 some repairs which they had to pull out the engine. Prior to this my engine cranks and starts very very well.My engine was out 4 about 3 months.

At the same time, 1 of our forummer's E34 520i was being converted 2 535i M30 there. And they lost his engine starter.

Guess wat...they took my perfect starter without my knowledge, fixed it to his car, & delivered the car to him .

By the time my engine went back into my car, it had serious cranking problem.
Certainly they replaced my starter with a faulty unit. And this caused another 2 weeks delay. Finally, Mr.Nutton fellow told me dat my starter 'sudah kong liao' & told me 2 find another spare unit by myself!!!

Luckily, Wolverine suspected sumthing was not rite n one late evening when we were hanging around in Mpowder, having sum beers wif Mr.Nutton fellow, Wolverine walked right 2 his face n questioned him " Tell me da truth, didn't u fix badbone's starter 2 da other E34 535i?"

Mr.Nutton was caught offguard by this, n also becoz of few beers, he admitted of stealing my starter. I was very pissed, but wolverine stopped me. Wolverine told Mr.Nutton fellow to rectify the starter problem by the very next day. After all dat 2 weeks delay, he got me another good starter the very next day itself becoz he was caught.

So guys, if dis Mr.Nutton fellow could even want 2 con me 4 RM150 worth of used starter, imagine what dis Mr.Nutton fellow is capable of??? :smokin:

Well, this only getting interesting day by day...but very helpful to everyone not to get conned

Wow X2

Whether the thread will be closed, it's entirely up to the moderators or committee. Trust me. I've seen some workshops or suppliers of car parts being crucified 10X worse then this. So just share your experience here. As long as there's no name calling or vulgarity used, by all means. Also, kindly observe forum policies at all times. We are all adults here.

hm..if its true about En.Kambing, then memang an ass whopping is due la..such bad behaviour..tsk tsk

The E36 328i that I bought last year come with full service history. One of the bills from M Power showed that 4 coil springs were changed for RM1,060. According to the previous owner he had asked to replace with original springs because the car was sitting too low (lowered springs?)

When I took over the car I noticed that the car is still low. Since I noticed that there was a bill for change of springs, I inspected the springs and to my suprise it's a set of springs with the words 318i clearly marked in white paint.

Clearly it's a second hand chop shop springs or maybe some springs left behind by other customers after they have upgraded!

RM1,060 for these? To me, if they want to make some money do it with some professionalism by at least giving that poor old man the correct specification springs lah.

Very well said.

The purpose of a forum is to discuss opinions and share knowledge, experiences and what not. That's why this forum is so powerful. I personally has seen BMW owners sending links on this forum to other BMW owners whom all are not registered users of this forum, but nevertheless find the information very helpful.

I supposed as long as everyone acts in a mature manner and share their experiences (good or bad) without any bias or hatred towards M Power, then it should benefit to the BMW owners using M Power's services.

I salute badbone and Wolverine for coming out and sharing their experiences to all. They have nothing to gain by doing so, and I could understand and relate to how they feel bout M Power, me personally was also an ex M Power customer for many years.

I would love to hear M Power's reply to the alleged malpractices mentioned here, rather than issuing threats of taking legal action.

Cheers.

My 910 cents worth.

It would seem that no workshop will treat all its clients the same. There is always favoritism - "regular vs irregular" clients for example. This is a plain and simple fact, across all fields in bussiness. .

However, may i also say that a spade by any other name is still a spade. I hope the propriator (in this case, Mr nathan) takes a long hard look at the feedback and improves as and where possible.

Hello everyone.

I have been directed to this forum thread by my friend who thought that i should see the debate regarding my previous "workshop". As i read on i can only agree with the general consensus, but it is the responses by Mr Nathan that prompts me to register and respond with my experiences at his so-called "workshop".

I had an e36 that was practically mint and trouble free, until a small problem with the dash lights made me look for a workshop to have it fixed. And from there began my horror with MPower.

Suddenly everything was breaking down, malfunctioning. Everytime the car went in and came out, things got worse. Finally i was advised to test the workshop by marking parts on my car to see if they had been changed or not. As expected, I was billed for parts that were NEVER changed.

I no longer have the car as it had become too riddled with problems. Although i still have fond memories of it, this experience put me off buying BMWs for life. I had made my experience known to the new owner, and i doubt that the car has been there again.

So now to quote Mr Nathan in another thread: "please be civilised and show respect for a fellow human being"

It is very hypocritical of you to be saying that sir, ESPECIALLY after what you and your associates have done.

My only advise to you, Mr Nathan, is to stop these unethical business practices of yours before someone is killed. Do heed this. It is of the utmost importance.

Thank you and good day.

Thanks JPoon. I'm not a customer of M powder but after reading all this, I no longer feel comfortable on the sidelines and just have to say it's absolutely crazy for anyone to send their cars to that workshop.

I've sent my e39 to mpower from day 1 and I've mostly dealt with Mr bala during the initial services & later with Mr Nathan and I wanna stress that I have not had any problems with their service or repair...price wise slightly steep but service done was good.No complaints...This is my personal experience and opinion...

my uncle's bmw maintained at mpower 10yrs alr, never heard any complaint from my uncle as well...
