Astroboy... just one question...answer me nicely... okay ? just to keep the debate going...

Q: Tell me your utmost reaction to the 'pomen' if you were caught in the same situation as Badbone or Wolverine ?

I know... debate is interesting.. :D but too much of it with capital letters and bold remarks all coming out is something difficult to contain and trust me... from a moderators point of view, its something you would wanna avoid unless u are keeping close watch over it and throw in a towel at a right time... I have seen debates went too wrong until User ID need to be blocked, thread closed, then the user register as new ID and open another thread.... and it goes on until user's IP need to be blocked.. just worrying for the moderator la... not my problem. Should have susu liam liam... :D

I don't even want to call this a debate la.. its just sharing of information ..

Closing the thread does not mean deleting the thread ma. Others can still read it and benefit from whatever information in the thread in the future.. I too think its good information.

My reaction when I was caught in the same situation? Will do exactly the same thing as Wolverine and Badbone.. :D and never return to the same workshop.. I have heard too many horror stories from both workshop end and customer end..

So may I ask pussy a question? How do you expect this issue to end, both from the customer's perspective and workshop's perspective? Until MPower close shop? :D If that's the case, GOD BLESS MPOWER..

So what is business ethic? Is selling list price unethical? Now this is what I call a debate.. :D

Swapping out or replace good components is UNETHICAL, its day light ROBBERY! There are proper channel for such complain... like the consumer association to set a trap for the trader, raid them, catch them red handed and officially seal the shop, black list the shop owner, fine them, jail them, put them on parole and whatever not..... I think that's more "constructive".. :smokin:

Okay... u guys carry on the "debate".... I just drop in a read whenever I too free.. :D

Cheers.... don't fight yah...

Hello everyone.

I have been directed to this forum thread by my friend who thought that i should see the debate regarding my previous "workshop". As i read on i can only agree with the general consensus, but it is the responses by Mr Nathan that prompts me to register and respond with my experiences at his so-called "workshop".

I had an e36 that was practically mint and trouble free, until a small problem with the dash lights made me look for a workshop to have it fixed. And from there began my horror with MPower.

Suddenly everything was breaking down, malfunctioning. Everytime the car went in and came out, things got worse. Finally i was advised to test the workshop by marking parts on my car to see if they had been changed or not. As expected, I was billed for parts that were NEVER changed.

I no longer have the car as it had become too riddled with problems. Although i still have fond memories of it, this experience put me off buying BMWs for life. I had made my experience known to the new owner, and i doubt that the car has been there again.

So now to quote Mr Nathan in another thread: "please be civilised and show respect for a fellow human being"

It is very hypocritical of you to be saying that sir, ESPECIALLY after what you and your associates have done.

My only advise to you, Mr Nathan, is to stop these unethical business practices of yours before someone is killed. Do heed this. It is of the utmost importance.

Thank you and good day.

Wow!! Shocking!.........

as you said it, it wont end it will go on. Mpowder will ruthlessy go on with their customers while we here keep on telling tales of it..

that reminds me of my part with Mpowder.. do have a bone to pick with them, but hard to point the finger at them...but never the less, they have cheated the customer... i was just the sucker..

what to do ?...

over to you Astroboy...

i support threads like these that give a free platform for ppl to share their sweet and sour stories about workshops. why close d thread unless its get personal. at least members will be armed with knowledge before they decide to leave their car in any workshop. anyone can login and give their opinion, but ultimately its up to us to digest and form our own opinion right?

i wish i was adviced this way before i was choked by a previous workshop during ownership of my previous car. would have save me quite a few pretty pennies. :D

Dis isn't a debate. At d same time, m not interested 2 go through proper channels, don't hv much time in hand.I'm not all out 2 close Mpowder. That's Mr.Nutton's business, let him run it da best way he knows. However, I realised lately dat I've been quiet 4 2 long, dat as a long time forummer here, n my extreme luv 4 UDMs, I feel I hv a responsibility towards da rest here 2 help those who wants 2 b helped.

Does any1 here hv any idea how many people had been put out of interest n passion 4 BMWs by Mpowder n Mr.Nutton?

Some of us here hv known each other long enough 2 trust. Dis way, we r just posting our experiences n knowledge about Mpowder 4 some forummers who appreciate dis kind of infos.

Since yesterday, I've received phone calls fr 8 forummers here dat I've yet 2 meet. They r very concern wif wat they hv read here. N they only want 2 hear more

I've sent my e39 to mpower from day 1 and I've mostly dealt with Mr bala during the initial services & later with Mr Nathan and I wanna stress that I have not had any problems with their service or repair...price wise slightly steep but service done was good.No complaints...This is my personal experience and opinion...

Good 4 u bro, hope things remain da same

Hmmmnnn... suddenly this Mr. Nathan as he wish to be called, is very quiet..

he must have engaged a speech writer... why no posting ? never pay him or never gave him a discount on parts ?

aiyoyo...

Mr.Nutton of Mpowder will only con his customers once he knows dat he has their trust. Dis is 2 avoid them fr goin 4 a 2nd opinion.

Fr wat I've observe in dis past 9yrs there, he will do dis on da customer's 4th/5th visits onwards or if he/she becomes Mpowder regular in 6 months time...

Its not the fault of the car, mate. It's just that you got a lousy mechanic. The car is still good.

How many of forummers here know ur bmws so well??? I've own dis brand 4 da past 10yrs, hv plenty of them at home even now. But I will still admit dat there r still plenty 4 me 2 learn bout my rides.

So, there could b sum of u who has been Mpowder customers n think u nvr had any problems there...U could b rite. But, how if u hv been conned by them in da past n u did not realise it coz of ur lack of knowledge???

How well do u know about ur rides paint job? How detail r u?
Let me tell u another con job by Mr.Nutton, n u judge it 4 urself...

Somewhere last year, I introduce a close friend of mine 2 Mr.Nutton.My friend wanted 2 paint his car in Mpowder Spray, belonging 2 Mr.Nutton 2.

So,we got a quote...we specified 2 him dat we want Glasurit HIGH SOLID clear coat finishing 4 da car. Car went in, deposit was paid.

On da day da car was sprayed, my friend n me rushed there after work, out of excitement. We arrived there. Da car was still in da oven. While peeping at da car, we also saw empty containers bearing Glasurit MEDIUM SOLID clear coat labels outside next 2 da oven in da rubbish basket. N there was no other car there at da moment. We questioned the painter, n he told us dat he used medium solid as instructed by Mr.Nutton himself...

We called Mr.Nutton out 2 a stall nearby 4 a tea. After a serious questioning, he admitted using medium solid deliberately. He admitted using dis con technique
4 da rest of da customers 2. Again, I stopped my friend fr whacking da brains out of dis Mr.Nutton...

Now, how many of u can differentiate between a High solid n Medium solid clear finshing???

Also, how many of u painted ur rides in Mpowder???

eye opener bro!! many folks here are no expert like you, and lack of info.. can get us screwed if the mech is unethical. God help us!

As for me, I never leave my car alone with the workshop whenever I sent my car for servicing or repair. If there is part to be changed, I will decide on the spot based on the visual inspection and recommendation from the workshop.

Based on my personal experience with a workshop other than my regualr (Not Mpower) where I am forced to leave my car alone for repair due to an emergency breakdown and repair, I actaully experience that the mechanic have only hand tighten 10 bolts of my 2 wheels when they changed the brakes pads. Now that is what I will call negligence.
