Bro, u know how hands on I am wif my rides...But, with work n family commitments lately, I'm 2 finding it hard 2 b there all the way wif my cars in da workshop...

Dis particular time, I even mentioned to Mr.Nutton 2 put the boys 2 inspect every screws n bolts 2 or 3 times b4 I collect it. I even told him I'll pay RM20 or RM30 xtra 4 them 2 do their job properly coz I was collecting da car on 22/12/07, n even told him not 2 fuc$up coz I'm taking my wife, my 2yr old son, my newborn gal n my maid 2 Malacca on 24/12/07 4 Christmas in dis car.

N yet dis wat happens...

First of all, my name is Mr. Nathan,

Anand, I dont recall you ever, wanting to pay extra for anything at all. I always give very special discounted prices and even then, you dont pay me the actual amount!! For the 9 years we serviced your cars, and all the time that you have come back to us I would think that you are happy with our services and prices.

As for the bolt above, I know that you are very well versed and sensitive with your cars. I am very very suprised that you didnt feel the shudder or noise until the bolt came out . Its a mystery to me that you didnt realised it at all! We did discuss about it, and I think that we have settled this issue with you.

The boss is too busy trying to figure out how to con his customers...

Sometime back, when i was there wif Wolverine, a chinese guy came by in his E34 M50 24V 520i 4speed Auto. Apperently, this was his 5th visit here. His complain was no power until rpm hits 2500 on his 1st gear, then it goes normal.
He complained of very high consumption too lately.

Mr.Nutton immediately took his car for a test drive. In the meantime, wolverine told me it's 99% this car's cam sensor should be faulty.

Mr.Nutton came back n plugged his GT1 equipment to dis car. After sometime,
he told the owner that his gearbox needs overhauling as the 1st gear clutch had burned out. Mr.Nutton claimed that his GT1 showed dis error code. Mr.Nutton quoted him RM3500 to overhaul the gearbox n the job should take 3-4 days.

Now, u dont expect the poor owner to know what error code is that, do u???

So, the owner had no choice, he misplaced his trust on dis cunning hell-going Mr.Nutton, n left the car here. That's when wolverine questioned Mr.Nutton, y he lied to that poor chap...Guess what, Mr.Nutton told wolverine "This how to do the business".

After 2 days the car was there, they changed the cam sensor, gearbox filter, gasket n oil.

His cost

Cam sensor ( used unit ) = RM100
Filter n Gasket = RM75
Oil ( about 6 litres ) = RM80

Total = RM255

On the 3rd day, Mr.Nutton calls the owner to inform that they have rushed n finished overhauling his gearbox. That guy came, paid RM3500,collected his car n thanked Mr.Nutton numerous times.

How I know so much??? My car was there for a gearbox overhaul at the sametime. N i took off from work to be there.

Now Albundy, are you sure this place just needs better assisstants???

I would like to thank Wolverine for saving me thousands of ringgit. If not for his vast knowledge n experience, I too would have fallen a big victim to dis 'BMW Society Damn' Mr.Nutton! :thefinger:

Boss, suggest you get the services of Mr. Shiok-a-Lingam :) :top:

No comments as I do not have 1st hand personal experience but have heard more than a fair share of not-so-pleasant experiences from those with 1st hand experience...

So it's either a conspiracy to see the end of the establishment or there's really something not up to expectation with the place...

Hi Nathan, I did not recall mentioning u as Mr.Nutton of Mpowder...R u claiming so??? :thefinger:

For the record, I did receive special discounted prices of about 20% off fr da normal prices in Mpowder. That was becoz 4 da past 3 yrs, Mr.Nutton had been borrowing 5k-10k cash from me on a monthly basis without any interest. This was 2 help him out in his new used car business ( Lately,i heard it was illegal ). Also, whenever I hv introduce any customers here, I hv refuse to take any commission like the other customers to his place do.In gratitude of all dat, he gave dis discounts.

However, I dont remember not paying him the amount dat we agreed. What Rubbish!!! So, dont b ungrateful mongrel n say lies here. Up 2 dis date, I hv paid every penny 4 whatever work he has completed 4 me. The only time I didn't pay him as wat we agreed was when they did not tighten my exhaust rear box clamp nut causing it 2 drop on the highway after doin my clutch replacement 4 my E30. I refuse to pay n told him on the face dat I'm not goin to pay da labour, but I still paid 4 the gearbox oil.

Y am I being questioned how come I didnt notice the shudder n noise till the bolt came out when the topic here is dat the bolt shouldn't hv come loose at the 1st place. Rite??? N I gave him dateline 2 resolve dis issue wif me by 31st January,2008. Up till 2day, he has not solve anything wif me, he refuses 2 answer my phone call. What a small kid???

Yes, 4 9 yrs I came back 2 Mpowder, I oredi posted in the earlier post dat no one was perfect!!! I could live wif the prices Mr.Nutton gave me, it was never the pricing issue. Also, I admit Mpowder is a bit more adventures in taking certain conversions. However, after my last engine conversion which I personally solved da problems, I realised dis Mr.Nutton is just another grease monkey who thinks he is ' serba boleh, semua tau ' ! N he does trial n error works on customers expense.

4 all those here, I nvr intended any conspiracy here. Da members dat know me very well would vouch dis.

Anyway,Mr. Nutton, if u r here, how come u don't remember asking me financial aids, asking me for technical advices, telling me 2 shut my mouth fr other customers so dat u could con them???

The rest of u here, there will b more infos coming in. Then u judge 4 urself, if this Mpowder is worth considering...

Once again, Mr. Nathan, I did not say dat u are Mr.Nutton!!! :thefinger:

Hi Mr.Nathan, apa cerita ??? Y r u claiming dat u r dat Nutton fellow here??? I never said dat!!! :thefinger:

Anyway, Mr. Nathan, what outstanding bills I have wif ur goodside? I have settled all amounting about RM12,XXX plus wif u in cash. N I hv evidence n witnesses.
Y r u accusing me like dis??? Y r u not answering my phone calls regarding this issue 2day??? Pls stop creating lies like dis or else, U leave me no choice but to get professional legal advice on dis. Remember, I have proof dat I've paid u full 4 all da works done by u 2 my car!!!:stupid:

Once Again, I never claimed U r dat Nutton fellow of Mpowder!!!:thefinger:

2 Mr.Franco n fabian, dis is not da battleground ...trust me, when we go to battleground , our ways r completely off u guys imaginations...

What we intend here is IF u love ur life, ur family, ur vehicles, n also other lives on the road, we just want tell u 2 stay away fr dis Mpowder!!! :smokin:

This is getting more interesting.. and confusing.. :stupid:

Ada MPower, MPowder, ada Nathan, Nutton, Mutton.. maybe there are not the same.. this is more trickier than Lingam case ne..

Operating a business, I believe MPower has their own frequent customers la.. if there were really fly by nite, why are there still here? There would be rotten oranges in a basket but what matter is there should be more good oranges la..

I have good relationship with my pomen and no matter what people say, I will still return to him la.

Trust me... there really are some element of profiting from a business transaction la, otherwise close shop lio. Sustaining a business is not easy la.. Sell list price also people complain, discount 20% also people complain not enough.. actually hor, give free things also got people complain wan.. :D

Take for example, all bushes can be pumped out and just replace the bush or bearing instead of replacing the entire arm la, same with alternator and what not. But most workshops won't offer those solutions but instead, get you to replace the entire item.

Absorber also got service kit ma, why people replace absorber..

Of course, claiming something is faulty when its not, is an unethical con job la..

The truth is out there..

I have seen many workshops got con by customers too.. I think Nathan would know all these tricks by now to steer clear from these errant customers.

Remember, as any human being, pomen can be wrong or "inexperience".. for major jobs, a 2nd opinion is a smart move. Don't trust anybody because human being can be wrong, whether intentional or not..

It takes 2 parties to battle... and I think it won't do good for MPower in the long run shall this battle continue as reputation is at stake.

Sometime keeping quiet is the best policy..

To those trying to convey a negative experience about this workshop, we hear you, we got your message.

Just my 2 sen opinion.. actually moderator can just drop in and close the thread and PM those involved to settle outside the forum.

will be monitoring this time bomb... tick.. tick.. tick..

I agree. This is a forum. Forumers can post anything and say anything that they want. Not all workshop owners are internet savy to defend themselves.

This thread can go on and on forever and more mudslinging. As proper gentlemen, the right thing would be for all parties to settle it outside in a gentlemanly fashion.

Maybe the time is right for the moderator to close this thread? My humble opinion......

cheers!

Hey mate, this is a car forum about passion for a particular brand. I do not see the reasons why this thread should be closed.

I appreciate and so do a lot of others here, of what Wolverine and Badbone have done here. They are simply sharing their own experiences with Mpowder for our own deliberation. Who knows, this may help us avoid similar events from happening to us in near future.

At the same time, there are also some forumers who have positive reviews on Mpowder. At the end of the day, having knowledge of others' experiences, it is up to us to decide on whether we would still like to use their services.

Of course, it is understandable why Wolverine is a bit edgy when he relates his experiences. Guys, he was travelling with his whole family to Malacca right after the control arm job done to his car. He is simply very very very lucky that nothing serious happened to him, his family or his car. Do you think any of you may be luckier than him in the near future?

In view of all this, I strongly suggest that this kind of threads should not be just closed by our moderators. This is a forum where we should be able to discuss this matters too. Let every forumers to judge it themselves as matured beings. By the way, we ARE forumers and car owners,we should stick together as one and respect others postings here.

P/S: I've been to Mpowder twice this past 5 months. From my own observation, I can assure you that I will never ever send my ride there.

It seams that Mpowder has quite a reputation with their customers...

why close the thread ? committee afraid of the 'Forum' getting sued ?
the Forum is the platform to talk...

let it run...cos Blood Diamond just asked views about this particular workshop and many has posted here...None of the forumers has implicated any names of the owner nor this establishment. If the real owner is here, him or her post it here to justify the reasons...

Even Blood Diamond has reservations about send his car there now..
