Errors after clear:

Shadow-memory:
85/08 - Signal, CAN ASC 3, timeout elapsed
5A/12 - Exhaust temperature before catalyst, bank 1, signal line, short circuit to negative
5C/12 - Exhaust temperature after catalyst, bank 1, signal line, short circuit to negative
5B/12 - Exhaust temperature before catalyst, bank 2, signal line, short circuit to negative
5D/12 - Exhaust temperature after catalyst, bank 2, signal line, short circuit to negative

Could that be the o2 sensor? All 4 kaput already?

yeah i think so.. thats why i ask whats shadow memory earlier coz cannot clear..

also noticed that the fuel consumption is slowly elevating... since now we have the scanner.. i think we can just diy replacing it.

These codes does not appear when I scan with software. For what I know there is not sensors pre of post cat other than the Oxygen sensors, unless it somehow uses the Oxygen sensors. Or unless exhaust system is different in some countries and the DME somehow expect signals from sensors which are not there at all.

e39-boy, what is your DME version ? Can you find this in the log ?

I have the P.A Soft 1.3.6 software and cables, and now that I'm buying the version 1.4.0 from Jarance my 1.3.6 can be let go.

Anybody wants to buy it off me cheap cheap only.

Warning: Version 1.3.6 does not have coding data and live data, not sure if its of use to anyone. Error code also only states the code not the description in words. E.g 54D5

I think I might know the problem.

here is a wiring diagram of the Data Link PinOut Transistion from 1992 till 1998.
OBD-I compliance is for car built from 92 till 96
OBD-II compliance is for car built from 96 till 98.

I have enclose the wiring diagram transition from:-
1. OBD-I compliance - 20 pins connectors
2. OBD-II compliance - 20 pins connectors
3. OBD-II compliance - 20 pins connector linked to 16 pins connectors.

I think I know what is the problem for E36 but cannot confirm until I test it out later..

In MS43.0, there is something called DM-TL (Diagnosis Module - Tank Leakage). There is a pump and solenoid. Something could be wrong or the unit or likely to be the wiring harness/connector.
