This one is for the fuel pump. the one I mentioned earlier is for the vacuum system which is related to the emission control.

pss.. On second thought, IanD, you could be right about the fault. BTW, is there are solenoid to change the fuel supply?

solo, I dont have for e46.

and my BMW WDS is not working after I install SP3.

What I mean is - when you try to get the thing to read live data from the E36, don't forget to see if it can work with the E46 pre-facelift.

Salut

Jarance,

I have seen a new set of pumps. One of the right is the actual fuel pump with integrated fuel sender (level sensor), on the left is a jet pump which is like a siphon it has a tube connected to the fuel pump to create the vacuum necessary to draw the fuel from the left, that is why the level on the right side is always much higher than the left.

yes, but how does the DME tell or know that there is a problem there. There are no sensor there other than the fuel sender (resistor film).

and if you look at the alarm message, it mention about the activation of a solenoid. I cant find any solenoid in the fuel system.

Could it be the active filter?

Yes Jarance, I did not see any solenoid or sensor wire at the jet pump other than the fuel sender. But for the tank leakage fault, there is a solenoid at the LDP (leakage detection pump) near the activated carbon filter.

Thank you so much to TWO of u bro IanDaddy & Jarance for the indication to solve my car problem.

I will feed bck to you guys once i send my car to the mech. At this moment i'm confuse after reading parts diagram from both u guys.
From Bro IanDaddy parts dia of Fuel pump and fuel level sensor shows Item no 3 Name Sucking Jet Pump parts no of my car was 16 14 6 755 880.
From Bro Jarance parts dia of Vacuum control — engine shows Item no 1 Name Sucking Jet Pump TOO parts was 11 61 1 439 927.
Got 2 same parts NAME and don't know which are the damage. Any how will get the mech to check BOTH of it.

Once again thanks so much to BOTH of u for the guidance .

Haha. I'm looking for RM100 only, which includes the serial to USB adapter.

Any takers? Bargain! As Jarance said adapter alone costs RM50. Cheap cheap.

want to barter? New for old?

Thats what I'm hoping for :4:

Some topup though? Or straight barter due to goodwill?

OK lah. It a deal. You top-up RM70 and I will give you the NEW scanner Ver. 1.4 and you give me the
old scanner Ver. 1.3.6 + USB to Serial converter.

Let do it when we meet up. (Actually buying it for my e36 just in case the ver. 1.4 cannot detect it)
