Fault Code 171- Check Fuel Supply

318i, year 2000 UK spec.Need help on above mentioned problem, I've changed Fuel Pump and filter, got it reset but the problem coming back after driving at approximately 25 Miles. Went to a few workshops and found the same code which as bellow.Fauld Code 171 - Check fule Supply. Mixture too leanAppreciate if members here can help me.Thanks

ASk your mechanic to attach a pressure gauge and check the pressure on the fuel line. It could be a leak!

which diagnostic tools is ur mech using???....I once had a non forumer calling me about fault code too....but it varies from which (model)country leh.


If you want a precise check...go for Modic diagnostic tool...or the GT one !!

the cheap Taiwanese,Korean....??? I doubt it'll be as good as the Modics.

Btw, want Zodic Wifi?????

Finaly solved the problem ..after reading from internet on 75miles maintenance list..Changed the Air Mask, cost RM 1,300 + can feel much better power to the trottle responce, and no more engine iddling problem as well..
