I personally think that there is no difference between year 2012 or year 2013 unless its a face-lift version. It's all the excuses cooked up by used-car dealers to squeeze the money out of us. A car being manufactured in Dec 2012 and Jan 2013 makes no difference. It doesn't make your car becomes older by a year all of a sudden.

Tell the BMW dealer that when you wanna trade in. See what they say ... Who knows? Maybe you do not get that standard sorry excuse. Then see how fair the BMW dealers are ...

Yup.. its like our DOB, to determine age the common reference is the year.

Dec'12 and Jan'13 kids wil start school in different year.. its just how it is in Bolehland..

It makes a lot of different....end the end of the day...the 2ndhand dealer will untung....when they want to buy the car from u they will make big fuzz of the manuf year (so u can't sell high).....then, when they wanted to sell to the new owner, they will sell it higher based on the year car being registered.....so, get the car manuf n reg at the same year....just my opinion la...if u doesn't care much about the price, then is ur choice, ya the performance or the spec doesn't differ...All the best

That means a car has been allotted to you. You can call your SA and get the details already. The car is not yet registered with jpj but the vin numbers etc is available when the car left the factory.

check your Retail Customer Order, the last 7 digit of Chasis No is the VIN.

Hi kenkl, i booked end of Nov last year for a 320i sports model.
Anyway i checked my VIN via realoem.com and the production date is 09/2012
How accurate is realoem.com?
And production date, is it the same as manufacturing date?
The series, model, region is correct.

very correct 1....logic what manufactured in sept 2012....aiya boss....if you cant wait to drive just take la....hihihi....if not lambat woohhh have to wait for another few months BUT for sure 2013 car....matter of choice boss....gud luck.......if me i"ll wait, but easier said than done....

Now no choice dy cause my old car trade in and the dealer collecting it this week due to higher trade in price offered.
Anyway all this to me is expected sales gimmicks.
Last option is when in future wanna sell off, go back to him..then it would be returning customer to AB.

Same case happened to me.. my initial SA (at a much commented dealer for the wrong reasons) also can't commit on delivery date after mths of booking. I got tired of d excuses and called another dealer, which was able to give immediate delivery since i've got approved financing.

Worth the wait? Definitely :top::top:

Same here my SA told me that i will getting my car some where May or June.....since the package and colour combo quite unpopular over here ( Havana brown with sadle brown combo) so he say the choice is urs........can be like that meh???????

I feel sorry for u bro....5 months is a long wait even though worth the wait....did the SA gave altenative solution of any kind? Take what ever available...change i to d maybe? Change color....maybe that will ease the "pain" but has to sacrifice somethin la....

Did you order anything specific colour combination of exterior and interior? I paid booking first week Dec 2012, took my car 328i 29 Dec. At that time was year end promotion, I just call up each dealer ask them what colour they have in stock and place the order.
