Just to share...get the February 09 Top Gear M'sia and flip to page 34. If you buy a bog-standard S-CLass Merc it will be fine. Not as comfortable as it could be, but fine nevertheless. But if you spend more - MUCH MORE - on the AMG version, it will be like riding around on a chest of drawers.

I was actually referring to the Audi A4 B8 vs the E90's when it comes to handling.

Audi people seem to rave about it being a BMW killer this time when it comes to handling and BMW fans think otherwise.

I have the Audi A4 2.0t B7 but i still give the handling to the BMW E90.

I would like to try the B8, as and when i strike toto again.

Thank you for sharing the article! The C300 they had was using inferior rubber and that has knock off many marks in the test.

The verdict for the C300 from the article:

I hate to say this to you but i never said the car was mine. It belongs to someone in my family and it sits 10 meters from my bedroom door EVERY NIGHT.

TRY ME and i will drive it your house anytime any day to embarass you.

Before you accuse anyone of any lies, i highly suggest you back them up with some evidence instead of empty sentences.

Any assumptions i make, are purely my OWN, based on any knowledge i have garnered from driving said cars, whether it be test drive or belonging to someone in my immediate family or my VERY OWN.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST, if it would really matter to you that i HAVE to own my VERY OWN, IN MY OWN NAME, C-class before i can come online here and argue with you, PLEASE do tell me.

I will go and buy one IMMEDIATELY tomorrow or if you can recommend one as the waiting list is quite long, let me know. Those who know me know i am capable of it and i can afford it

My argument was and HAS always been that the C-class strikes a better compromise between comfort, maintenance, usability and driving pleasure.

All this proves is that the 3-series is better around the track. Psh, who didnt know that?

How bout i tell you the 5series is better than the E-class is around the track? I dont know that for sure or i dont have any articles to back it up but i am pretty f-king sure that im correct.

Doesnt take a genius to figure it out. Compromise between ride comfort and driving pleasure, across a wide range of demographics, a different story comes out.

Not many people appreciate what BMW has to offer from the driving pleasure side except the few who push their car hard. For the man who goes to work Mon - Sun and uses the car for nothing BUT that, i can say the Merc will be better.

Once again, i didnt dispute this. I highly suggest you scroll back a few pages, as you've suggested to me, and read clearly what it is im am arguing on and the premise of my argument, that the C-Class strikes a better balance and appeals more to regular non-car enthusiasts who spend most of their time working.

Unlike you who probably has heaps of cash to burn and takes Ulu Yam drives every Sunday and maximizes that "driving pleasure" that you so strongly insist is necessary in your car right?

Im dreaming of an E92 M3 too. After i bought Tony's E46 M3, and subsequently sold it, ive been smitten by M Cars.

Anyone test driven the E92 M3? I test drove the E60 M5 and i must say, i was not impressed. Not as impressed as i was driving the E46 M3.

Something about the power delivery or maybe you just couldnt feel the speed?
