Don't let him get to you ,mel! He's been around here for ages ....2000 over posts now and counting and thinks he owns the forum. Keeps labelling people newbies and putting them down.

With respect, Schwepps mean well when he says all newbies to post in the newbie section to introduce oneself. He's not the first to say that you know.

Stats wise, the 320d is a powerful car. Arguably as powerful as the 325i.

However, what the 320d does not have is the iDrive functions, which includes, among others, navigation and bluetooth telephone system. iDrive's only available in the 323i and above.

I'm not gonna promote either 320d or the 323i (or above) to you. Choice is a personal one. No right or wrong. I would suggest however, that you at least try the 323i and see how you like the iDrive in addition to a 6 potter feel as opposed to a turbo charged engine.

And for the record, I drive a 323i and I love it in terms of performance and comfort. oh and the iDrive as well :D

Please fellas , be civilised , courteous and mindful. This is a forum about BMW so that u can and want to gain knowledge and share knowledge. Not to promote one's prowess and not to belittle anyONE. That's why BMW or any manufacturer of anything come up with so many models of the same type. To suit each and everyone's needs, passion and preference , amongst many other reasons. One man's apple is another man's poison. There's no wrong or right here. It's up to you. Please do share your opinions and knowledge but do not force your opinions upon anyone. If BMW or any other manufacturer thinks one model is the best , might as well they only make that model only. That's beside the point here.
My main point is please be courteous and no name calling or labelling in any manner please. We are a happy forum and club. Keep it that way. I WILL NOT HESITATE TO BAN ANYONE that disrupts the harmony of this forum. IT IS A KNOWLEDGE and INTEREST SHARING PLATFORM AND PLEASE KEEP IT AT THAT. NO ONE IS BETTER THAN ANYONE HERE AND NEITHER IS ANYONE A LESSER PERSON THAN ANYONE HERE. THANK YOU. IF ANYONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH THAT PLEASE BY ALL MEANS TAKE IT UP WITH ME PERSONALLY. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. THIS APPLIES TO ALL THREADS.

Pesanan ini dibawakan khas kepada anda tanpa penaja dan tiada kaitan kepada yang hidup mahupun mati :D sendiri mau ingat .. terima kasih

Power? 218bhp vs 177bhp...hmmm.

Torquewise yes,the 320d is better,but powerwise the 325i rules.

I think 320d better because torque is 100 more and horses are only 41 less. For yr infor both are measurement of power but the term hp have have created some misconception that only hp is the measurement of power. actually torque is also a measurement of power but in a different way. both complement each other. Torque is the force power while hp is more on time and speed. Just imagine a lion has more torque power while a cheetah has more horse power.

Only when Euro4 diesel is available here and the BMW diesels have the Euro4 particulate filters fitted. Until then, they still spew more particulates into the atmosphere than petrols, and are therefore more polluting. Just ensure that the exhaust pipe points down to the ground so that it's not so obvious. But I bet even with Euro4 fuel, our buses and trucks will still belch sooty smoke in our faces.

The major pollution concern globally now is co2 emmision coz this is the main contributing factor of globle warming , atmospheric changes incldg melting of ice in the poles. if this are not controlled it may make all living things extinct in the not so long future from now. Other pollutants are more of harmful to the health but is far less concern than the former.

On 320d nose pointing to the ground i agree that is to emit any particulates directly to the ground . I think this is a clever design to make the 320d more environmental friendly, and not because it is a diesel engine. if u notice ,some previous models such as the 5series e39 also has exhaust pointing to the ground.

I'm surprised to hear that you like Turbos... BMW used to be known for its N/A performance engine, until recently that ///M decided to go with Turbo... So sad. Turbo's are a great fun to drive, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't have that high-RPM racing feeling to it. Actually, the high-RPM raving is actually 1 of the bits I missed about the 325i. Maybe one day I might be able to afford a real ///M car.

If I'm not mistaken, I think you are about 21 years of age... Rather young. So if you really like turbos, the VW GTi will be suit you. Mods are easy as well.

Yaya, i'm 22 this year. Actually i booked a Subaru S204 last month, but due to strongly against from parents, so i just follow their suggestion to me. Anyway, gonna test drive them tomorrow, jus decide then. Thx all helpful comments~:idea:

The S204 is actually a very very good car that offers both performance, handling and practicality..and bombproof reliability.Of all the cars that u've mentioned, the S204 is probably the car a young guy like u should go for.If u are into turbos and performance, this is probably the safest car for u to have as well as it is designed and built for fast driving from the onset.
I used to own a 400bhp STi ver8..I can tell u its probably the best car I've owned so far, next to my 335i.

Yaya, you are right! Indeed a very very nice car, CF Kevlar, bucket seat is the thing most impressive me! Fell in love with it's power & boxer sound after tested drive it and booking it immediately! BUT, GF and old man all decline me from buying it:68:, no choice but give up my dream car.If given any chances to own it, that is the one i always want!

Petronas stations are the best bet, Morganl!

Almost all stations have diesel pumps. Some of them are more exclusive - just a pump there sitting alone from the rest of the pumps. :D

does the diesel pump accept credit card payment at the pump like the petrol pump? all diesel pump nossle in Msia can fit into BMW?

any other choices other than Petronas a? No offense, but I'm not gonna sponsor a 'National' company that leech on it's ppl and feed to the corrupted....
