I was clearing up my stack of bills last night and found receipts for maintenance and servicing done on my E30 318i. I can't find the bill for the overhaul which i did right after buying the car. Will post it when i find it.
Feb 2005 - Sri Petaling ( i forgot the name of the shop)
1. I've just bought the E30 and wanted to change all 4 tyres, paid RM 185/pc for Goodyear Ducaro. (Total: RM 740.00)
Since i bought all 4 tyres at 1 go they gave me free allignment and wheel balancing. At the same time told me all my 4 wheels and spare needs to be knocked back into shape quoted RM 60 per wheel. I didn't do the wheel knock then and now.
Apr 2005 - Kingswell Auto in OUG (they work more on Mercs and other vintage cars)
1. Skim 2 pcs front brake discs - RM 120.00
2. To dismantle instrument cluster, renew odometer gear set & refix same - RM 50.00
3. Odometer gear set - RM 220.00 (BA quoted RM 100++ when i went there to buy my brake discs about 3-4 weeks ago, sigh hard earned money spent just like that).
4. Oil filter - RM 34.80 (2 yrs after that i bought oil filter from the spare part shop behind Kingswell and it costs RM 27.00).
5. Wiper blade 1 set (Bosch) - RM 35.00
6. - NASA fully synthetic engine oil (6 litre) - RM 217.50 (does E30 M40 engine need 6 litre?)
Kingswell is where i did my overhaul... imagine how much more of my $$$ they got from me by adding 25% or more margin on the parts.
Comment: Never went there anymore after the odometer change.
Jun 2005 - TRB Automobile (mechanic biasa)
One day i wanted to go to work and i could not get the car into gear. Clutch also feel super light. Went to the nearest mechanic in Pusat Bandar Puchong (where i use to stay).
1. Clutch pump (lower) - RM 350.00 (sure + >10% margin)
2. Clutch oil - RM 18.00
3. Workmanship - RM 22.00
Dec 2005 - M1 Kayu Ara
My dad found out that Jeffrey from M1 was staying around his neighbourhood. And guess what, Jeffrey's son was my senior in Secondary school. What a coincidence. But they did not give preferential treatment lar when it comes to maintenance costs. Business is business i guess.

2. Oil filter - RM 35.00 (25% more than if you get directly from spare parts shop)
3. 4X spark plugs - RM 52.00
4. Fuel line cleaner - RM 60.00
5. Engine flush - RM 60.00
6. Inspection Service 1 - RM 75.00
7. Tune up engine - RM 30.00
Items 6 & 7 total including service tax - RM 110.25
RM 498.25 paid for a normal service. I was just in my 2nd year of employment. Not much money then, but loved the E30... was wondering whether i made a big mistake buying an E30/second hand car.
Mar 2006 - M1 Kayu Ara
Right Front brake making noise when turning on long corners. Send them to M1 coz i don't know a thing about cars.
1. To remove right front brake disc - RM 45.00 + 5% service tax
2. To skim brake disc 2pcs - RM 70.00
(still made noise after that, sigh... and when i brought it back they said it is because there maybe small particles like sand and small stones that were stuck in the brakes but will wear off after awhile. 1 mth, 2mth, 3mth later still the same. was very disappointed with them.)
Dec 2006 - M1 Kayu Ara
1. Fan belt - RM 27.60

10. Miscellaneous - RM 5.00 (what in the world is miscellaneous i don't know. should have asked).
Sent my car to M1 Kayu Ara again due to brake pads worn out. Can't find the bill will post when found.
After that my air-con blowing hot air in the afternoon. Send to M1 Kayu Ara to fix. Car came back blowing cold air, paid RM 400++ for don't know what service (need to find bill). one thing for sure is that they said nothing was wrong and just need to top up gas. After less than 6 mths air-con blowing hot air again.
Apr 2007 - Kool-Aire Auto Air-cond (Sri Petaling)
Replaced:
1. Rec. Drier - RM 60.00
2. Pressure switch - RM 85.00
3. Refill R12 gas - RM 25.00
4. Vacuum Oil R12 - RM 15.00
5. Nasa 2 in 1 R12 Compressor oil - RM 38.00
Total: RM 223.00
(The mechanic explain to me that my rec-drier and pressure switch confirm kaput and need to change. so no need to remove dash to check air-con unit. Still blowing cold air until now.)
