320,AA,A Same as Yoko C-Drive.. amazing!

PS2 thread wear rate is 240 or 280 if I remember correctly. The Goodyear assymetrical is 240, wears off pretty fast!!

albundy, u should stick with Pilot Sport Cup..it make with outer for dry,and inner for wet.very suitable for M car...

Actually I've read somewhere before that tyre ratings are not standardised nor verified, meaning you can't really compare them across brands, and they're only good for comparing the product range within a brand. The Bridgestone RE050 RFT is only 180, and yet I find that they wear better than the Michelins I've used.

If I remember rite, PS2 treadwear is 220 and RE050 RFTs are 140... PS3 is 320 as AB pointed. Michelin probably went with a different design direction with the PS3, and its likely not an evolutionary design over the PS2.

You are right E46F. Threadwear 140, Traction A, Temp A, and yet called 'Racing Equipment'. Mine have outlasted all my previous Michelins. I've never used Bridgestones before this and I'm quite impressed. Maybe the Japs are more 'conservative' with their ratings. :)

After using both Bridgestones and Michelins, I have become a fan of French Rubbers :). The RE050's are very good tyres, but PS3's are truly amazing..

Here's how the engineers at Michelin managed to get all the factors into the tyre, from superior wet grip, good mileage, heat build up management and advanced deformation characteristics, not to mention, a quiet and supple ride as well..

pilot sports cup has threadwear 80 only ... was told can only last 1 to 2 good track days! costs like 50% more than regular PS2. but heard that can shave a few seconds around SIC

E46F,
Any idea why has PS3 not come out with N Specs tyres for Porsche? Tyre shop still recommended PS2 instead of PS3 for Ultra High Performance use. What u think?

Me thinks tyre shop trying hard to flog off their old stock of PS2's hehe.

Give it time. Singaporeans haven't even got PS3's yet last I checked. N specs will come la.

PS3 is planned to replace PS2 and PP2 so you get all the size previously offered.. the above Press Kit didn't cover 15" PS3 but its already available here.. Funny thing is I went to the tyre shop store and hand pick my tyres.. I saw 2308, 3309 and 1210.. I thought PS3 only launch in 2010? Obviously I picked the 1210.. :p :D

I would say 80% of my tyres have been Michelins. :top:

No way PS3s can be 2308 and 3309 manufacture, AB. Did you ask the shop about it?

Not yet la. My RE050As still have a lot of thread...surprisingly. I might want to try the Pirelli PZero RFTs, but it really depends on the stock situation when it's time to change.

I suspect I mixed up with PS2.. :p Old man liao.. in a dark store room.. :p

I got tomyam PS3 now on the front and french PS2 on the rear...while the wet grip are superb on the ps3 but on dry the car just couldn't find the grip on the front end...furthermore the ps3 is abit nervous at speed in excess of 230kmh...

Michelin no doubt produce good wheels. But recently their sales ppl (part time promoters i think) r over promising :(
They had a road show in 1Utama just last week n the part time promoters dont know how to sell or have the knowledge to sell.... pffth!

* hope Michelin is reading this so that they image wont be tarnish *

No problem for me because my 4-pot max out at 215kph.. :p The press kit provided my E46F above did mentioned the rolling surface on high speed has been redesign to achieve a more even distribution of pressure point compared to PS2, that perhaps is the culprit for the insufficient "bite"..

The product sells by itself la. Many testers here feeding u with first hand information.. don't waste time with the promoters la. They are placed there to attract men only.. :p

Sharp, PS3 don't have 235/35 19 and 265/30 19 size.. only the 40 series for 19". Your size u need to look in PS2 for now. Confirm above RM1k each..

bought mine PS2 235/35/19 for $1150 each and 265/30/19 for $1350 each. That was 5 months ago.
