good observation.....Originally posted by E46Fanatic@Jun 6 2006, 04:47 PM
Both are different, the M-tech pre facelif and post facelift. Facelifted M-techs are stiffer and not as comfy but provide less roll and sharper steering response. I also noticed that the ride height of facelifted Mtechs are slightly higher compared to pre-facelift ones... Just my observation.

bro, am transfering E46 facelifted mtech suspension to my E46 pre-facelifted la ...from the 2.0 valvy to 1.9 car...Originally posted by wglee@Jun 7 2006, 06:34 PM
At the outset, it has to be noted that M-Technik suspension is BMW's sport suspension.
From what I can recall, car magazines said that the facelifted E46 in STOCK form actually used the pre-facelift E46's sport suspension, whereas the facelifted E46's sport suspension is stiffer than pre-facelift E46's sport suspension! So, transferring the pre-facelift E46's sport suspension to a stock facelifted E46 could be a pointless exercise...

This is not true ler.. Facelifted E46 has uprated spring and damper settings and are stiffer than stock pre-facelift E46. The M-technik sports suspension on the other hand actually sits lower than stock pre-facelift and facelift. Also the anti roll bars are thicker than stock. Both facelift and pre-facelift have same rollbar diameters, but M-techs are thicker. Part numbers for shocks and springs also differ M and non M suspension packages.Originally posted by wglee@Jun 7 2006, 05:34 AM

E46 2.0 6 pot and E46 1.9 4 pot is it? if yes, the spring and shock rate was different i think.Originally posted by ylkhor@Jun 6 2006, 03:38 AM
Can both the springs and shocks fit from a E46 2.0 (post-facelift) to E46 1.9 (pre-facelift)? Configuration same ah?
Looking for feedback. Thanks bros....
