I just paid RM422,000.00 for my 1 month old E60 525i.

... and the 523 actually has exactly the same 2.5 litre engine as the 525 but in a different (lower) state of tune (ie. a simple 2k chipping exercise will make the 523 as powerful as the 525).

For a 50k difference between the '23 and '25, there better be loads more standard options!

There are mechanical differences between the 2. You cannot get 523i to be 525i just like that.

A6 is a handsome car. But it's rather noisy, and the low speed steering is so light that you don't know what the wheels are doing below you. The ride and drive are definitely no where near the 5. Every time I drive it, I miss my 5.

I believe some are giving at 3.4-3.5% but very selective.

Spaceman, if i'm not wrong, you took delivery of your ride in Jan 06 before the price was increased briefly right?. Don't be despair man, you're driving a CBU unit AND not many people will get CBU units at RM299K!. heard they only have a handful of CBU units left..

Before I bought my 523i I managed to befriend a sales guy from AB. I asked him frankly which model he'd choose if he were to buy; 523i or 525i. He said he'd go for 523i as they were the same engine and 525i was just tuned up. By the way, the increase in torque is minimal 20 Nm even though the hp seemed to be increased quite substantial... I chose 523i . My friend bought 525i.
