am just curious to know how many would always sticks to bmw car, meaning u will still get a bmw if u buy a new car.

I would, should budget allows... and I just did.. :D ..from E36 to E90.. skip one generation because need take some "time" off to build a family.. :p

Love the balance weight chassis because I "throw" my cars around pretty often. 50/50 chassis weight distribution rocks!

Next on my list are MX5, RX8, AE86.. :p 3-series is a more suitable family sedan.. :D

i'm one of the bmw die hard fan, previous was e46 and now e90....planning to get a new 5 series few year later...

i guess many are like that.....

mine would be:

3 series - 5 series - 7 series
OR
3 series - Z series - X series

may not be a change..... could be add-ons....

heheheheeh

I'm guilty of being a BMW die hard too. Recently sold my e32 730i to my uncle and got an e39 528i. Everytime I drive the e39, it reminds me why BMW will always be my first choice for a sedan.

My first and only choice for a sports car is Porsche. Looking for an old school 911 Turbo, but the recession means I have to hold off my plan to purchase one this year. If I can't afford a Porsche, I just simply won't own a sportscar.

I've driven the Bentley Continental GT recently. Next month, hopefully I've the chance to drive Bentley Continental GT Speed with 600bhp. After that experience, all BMW feels like a Proton. I really regret with my own doings.

Having had an almost unbroken string of BMW ownership or having the use of at least one BMW or being around BMWs for the last 34 years, I would certainly consider myself a diehard BMW fan.

Just to add, there are now 5 BMWs (soon 6) and 1 Mini in my family. Neighbous say we lelong BMWs

ceh... 6 BMWs... and still complaining :p
can I be your son, saat? I want a mini cooper too :D

Who's complaining? I'm not. I give destructive (or is it constructive) criticisms to BMW about their product and most of all their services.

SLK used boleh?

complaining about work la... :p not BMW... we are all happy with our BMWs....
SLK? Tak payah.. Got one already.... :p

Shame on you! Official Member of the Club summore. Wash your mouth with soap and tok ketampi 10 kali.

i started with an E36 before adding the E39 and then upgraded the E36 to E46. Almost went for an E90 but don't quite like the design of the lifestyle version. The M-Sport version is a bit too pricey for me. Won't look for another BMW until car prices at better levels, I hope.. (soon) :p

oh ya... before getting the E39, I bought the Citra (MPV). Lousy although cheap. Wanted a full MPV but heck none could drive well. As since the driver's paying, I decided to go for the E39 instead. Have not test driven the X5 and would like to hear from owners if this is a suitable 7 seater.

Who says Camry is bad? What's wrong with a Camry? If not because of the Japs, I would say half the Malaysian population go to work by Intrakota. And they can't even afford a wrist watch.

No intentions of hyjacking this thread nor asking to be flamed by the Camry owners or by you.

I declare that the Camry is a good car and the current version is quite handsome. I am sorry if I gave you the impression that I hate Japs. Well I do harbor some hatred for them for beheading my Grandfather and Grandmother. (That is the god honest thruth) But I love many Japanese cars.

On the camry, I recalled a conversation with a renowned gentleman (old) racer and motoring personality about car choices. His take is as follows:

Cars carries an image that reflects the driver. A Merc gives the impression that the driver's made it and most probably a rich towkay.

A Camry man is a well a camry man - mid 30's to 40's. Fairly successful career man. Frugal. Mortgaged house in the suburbs. Working wife. 2.5 kids. Waist went up 1 or 2 sizes. Next car will most likely be another Camry. Chants "Lexus, bah, I got the same for a third of the price".

A BMW is a young upcoming professional or self made businessman. Impatient to the point of being irreverent. Drives too fast for his own good at the wrong places/times. Sometimes anak or mistress to an orang kaya.

BTW, I just sold off my 4 year old Honda Accord 2.4 and had my fair share of BMWs (Bas Mini Wilayah) and public transport. I had to wake up at 5am everyday to take the 6am bus from Ampang Jaya to what was the AIA building in Malacca Street and then walked 2 miles to Klang Bus Stand to catch a Sri Jaya bus to Subang. The busses and trains are fun.

I can't imagine the day when every Malaysian has a car. It will be a huge car park with not enough roads to drive.

Affordability is actually by choice. Life is one huge compromise. You give up in some areas in order to get more in others.

And I think more than half of the Klang Valley population can afford a watch cos it is so cheap these days. I dont think Malaysians are that impoverished.

Cheers
Die Hard BMW Fan
