Why most people say "BMW" very hard to maintained?

to some of us, 20years later we will be talking, if this probelm you see this doctor, but another doctor is hospital XYZ is even better, , this medicine is good, that herb is good, bla bla bla, because we care about our health.

Because the car/machine is so important to us, driving is so personal, we want to ensure our machine get the best treatment too, same as our body.

Driving could mean nothing to a lot of people, but driving mean a lot to us. That's why we own a bimmer, not other brand.

They listened to their cousin's brother's wife's sister who owned one BMW and didn't maintain it so had to bring the car to the workshop every week?

just my 2 cents..
alot of ppl say its exp to maintain.. coz alot of ppl not driving one..only by hearing story from others who dont know how to maintain a car or they got conned by their mechanic...
i used to be in that circle.. but now i realise it ... BMW better maintained well...

Yap....I do agree......most of them "hear from someone".....in fact they still itchy to get one....Perhaps they still worried the "maintenance"...

Sometime I pity the workshop too.. a nice young lady pull up with her more than 5 years old E46 318i.. who know nuts about car maintenance, does not even keep track of service history.. these N42 engines are valvetronic equipped, pumping at 143hp and along with all the other bells and whistles that keep the engine "intelligent", yet she ask the foreman to ensure nothing will fail when she's on the highway.. how?! Have to do preventive maintenance recommendation loh.. coolant tank, thermostat, ignition coil and a long list of other things.... how to explain to her? Difficult right?!

And there she goes complaining the workshop cut throat la, BMW expensive to maintain la.. these are sensitive cars and they are suppose to be sensitive with minimal fault tolerance... u think like JDM meh, no water also can drive.. until engine seize.. :4: when u complain the JDM being stupid, they will tell you that's why you are given a temperature gauge, who's fault? :4:

Which work shop u will use astroboy after 60K km up? BMW official service centres or outside? I also have to make that decision soon. If outside,which one?

Depending on nature of job.. you don't send your car to a tyre shop when aircond not cold, or to the body shop when want to buy absorbver. So I have a trusty panel.. I hope.. :106:

Many ppl do not drive one. .only through will hear the story ever not to maintain automobile's person or they obtained the perusal by theirs mechanic…I once was in that circle. But I realize it now. BMW better the well which maintains.
