In the meantime here's the Pussycat Dolls in MALAYSIA!

Hot or not? You decide. :38:

beyonce aside, my personal opinion is that imposing too much restriction can bring about bad side effects. Sometimes it's better to expose them to the elements in moderation rather than keep them away from the elements and then they get a shock once they get exposed to it.

It's all in the mindset.

As for beyonce, she's more famous for her well-endowed 'assets' rather than her signing. So it wouldn't be the same if she can't do her sexy dance routine and with appropriate costumes.

My 2 cents...

Malaysia is a democratic and secular country where every citizen is free to practise and belief what they wish to believe.

As such, the government should not be the moral guardian for Malaysian citizens.

At the end of the day, its ENTERTAINMENT.

I have utmost respect to the wishes of the muslim community and Beyonce's concert could violate their religious beliefs. At the same time, there are others whom do not believe in god (atheists) or practise religions that can tolerate sexy outfits and suggestive dance moves and THAT they wish to attend this concert.

Perhaps one way to resolve this issue is in the future the government should impose a BAN for muslims to view/attend the concert if the artist's sexy outfit and stage performance is an issue. The promoter shall not sell tickets to muslims and the authority should also get JAIS to ensure no muslims enter the concert compound. This is a win-win situation I believe.

Cheers. :)

We are not Secular Muslim country, example of secular Muslim is Turkey. Ugama rasmi Malaysia ialah Islam. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2007/08/05/asia/AS-GEN-Malaysia-Islamic-State.php

I'm father of 3 kids ....

This a good thing when you have neighbours with multi religion, both my neighbours is Buddhist and another is Hindu. Talked to them and not surprise me that their response on sexy outfit more on negative side .......... but we all agree that if not in public should there is tolerance because it's control entertainment .

We know that a lot "modern society" like to become more open on everything but let be careful when using "religion" for sake of our "modern" desire. Which one ?

Some not allow unless you have somebody as your introducer. I'm very impress of their stamina .......

I never said Malaysia is a secular muslim country. Malaysia is a secular country like India (malaysia's constitution is based on Indian Constitution when it was drafted), with the exception that Islam is made to be the official religion. If you read what other Prime Ministers had said (Tunku, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein Onn), Malaysia is never an Islamic country.

The recent articles in The Sun leading to the 50th Merdeka Anniversary definitely gives an in-depth view of events leading to the country's independence. Once one reads the articles, there is no doubt on whether the country is an Islamic country or a secular country.

Anyway my stand on the above issue is very clear and non-controversial. We live in a great country called Malaysia and all of us have learnt to respect each others beliefs, cultures and values. Try not to enforce one's beliefs unto others but instead keep respecting it as this has always been the practise since we achieved independence 50 years ago.

Al , you bringing this singer topic into religion matter.... not something I would go for especially any "act" or any federal constitution thingy which probably will bring more politican wannabe or law "expert" people into this. Let use Wiki , secular state is free from religion ......... , are we really free from religion ? :burnout: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secular_state
