Very Good Dale, very true, but also note... when there's no "komplen", there will be no hope for changes. If you see what the entertainers are asked to wear, its a joke. Anyways thats my point of view lah. There is no right or wrong in this disscussion

If Gwen Stefanie can come and comply with the Malaysia law why can't she. Gwen is also the type which wear sexy but she still wore sexy yet covered and it look good. This just shows Beyonce's has no respect of us.Is not only Muslim law says you must wear decent but it is in every religion no matter if it is Hindu, Christianity, Budda.
Which sound more stupid Malaysian gov reject Beyonce's to do concert here. She still can perform but must wear decent or Singapore gov ban chewing gum.

Sorry guys time for me to go to Termeloh.

as mentioned by dale , how wonderful life is in malaysia, we can even go & buka puasa at temerloh..............temerloh guys here we come the guys fr BMWCM

Actually, our problem is that we complaint too much. Have you ever tried being relax and just let things passed in front of you, without you making any remarks or comments. Try it friend you will be surprise, how wonderful life is, in Malaysia that is AND how insignificant we are with or without our "komplen".

Also see how others are not complaining about Malaysian Rules & Regulations imposed on Beyonce or any foreign artists for that matter:

Too bad she couldn't submerge her rather large ego and tone her act down in the interest of giving some hope to Muslim women. Surely she can learn to be versatile enough to put on a singing act without the tart act? Doesn't her voice stand up on its own?

- Marlene, Vancouver, Canada

And in doing so she admits she has no singing talent. If the whole show is about the moves and the costume, then she can't hold her own when she sings, so why doesn't she just become a stripper instead?

- Koko, Champaign, USA

Don't you know there is a lot Westerner wannabe here , they will fight till this country become American type of democracy ..................... :stupid:

Even the real Westerner see positive side of it :listen: :

My thanks to the Malaysians for showing the rest of the world that a singing performance can be accomplished without the awful underwear-revealing, crutch grinding, banal, so-called dance routines that characterize such overrated performers nowadays.

Having visited Malaysia myself, I found no evidence of a strict dress code for Westerners, beyond a common sense approach to decency and modesty in certain surroundings. Rather reminiscent of the standards we have allowed to let slip here actually.

Point taken Iglima, so can I safely assume that you think all this noise about an entertainers attire and so on is a good thing ? This goes for all entertainers.

Sith,

I'm not even know who is this person want to do a concert here so I stand from a point :

1. If government say you need to follow "dress" code to have a concert here, why can't you follow it ? End of the day you're going to get Malaysian money into your pocket and bring it out from this country ...................

2. Are we going to face economy crisis because she doesn't want to be here , why we care ?

You missed my point... I am talking about all entertainers alike, not just her. Yes you are right, if she cant deal with the laws in this country, then its just too bad for us fans who get our ya ya's oggling at her bootylicious body. I am actually refering to the dress codes imposed on all entertainers both local and foreign. I care not too much about how her decission will impact our economy, coz I know it wont... just like I know there wont be any negative impact on our society or the malaysian morals if she did perform and performed in a sexy manor. I am just wondering, why the sudden need to tell people what to wear on stage is such an important issue. In all honesty I think there are more important issues that needs attention... i.e. Childrens security........

Anyways peace

Can you catch all fish when you go fishing ? Obviously when you catch big fish you can show off as well ...........

This is what government do , show off but I look it from positive point of view.

If she follow the rule, she can perform and might get more crowd , family with strict "dress" code might attend ! but she might not get her body fan attend .........

So, which one she worry about ? Her body fan or her voice fan ?

or is the fan who want to see the "flesh" get very upset here ?

How sure you are her body attraction not going to make sex maniac goes mad ?

hey I like the flesh too ... .....

Cheers mate

I give up hope already. Next thing u know we wont get any mega performers wanting to do tours here anymore. The Gomen dont want us to do all the below:

No more rock bands - we will all dress like rockers and hang around Central Market

No more boy bands - we will encourage skool kids to look like faggots

No more girl bands - we will become anorexic and do more drugs and show butts like Britney

And the list goes on.

So goes its jsut gonna be Arab superstars singing sh!t we all dont understand.
*SIGH*

You Have once again lost the plot. I'm not saying she was right to cancel her tour here. Also when you say you like flesh too...Are you a sex maniac ? I sincerely hope not....

I've actually seen some recording contracts with local artists and was surprised with some of the conditions. Conditions such as what to wear, who to sing for, when, etc etc.

Most of the popstars/poptarts these days are overhyped by the recording industry to push for more sales. That means sexing things up even if the music's crap coz sex sells. The labels pretty much dictate everything and that probably applies to Bouncin' Beyonce as well.

Case in point: Britney Spears' horrible performance at the recent VMA because she wasn't ready but her label insisted. Its on YouTube. See it and cringe. Watch out for the part where she nearly trips.

Oh and whaddaya know, the Spice Girls are back too. Do a google and see how the industry swung that one around.

Gone are the days when talent mattered. Gawd almighty even Paris "sword swallower" Hilton has a record out..

At least the Government allowed Linkin Park over here coz that concert seriously rocked!

Right. Time to take my medicine...

*sigh*

back to my japanese and taiwanese bikini page .

tarak syiok la ini macam...ini tak bole...itu tak bole.

No wonder a lot of kidnappers and rapers running around our country.

ya lah like up north everything also tak boleh...but rape case, AIDS, incest all the highest in the country...

Sith, tell this to the relevant authority, don't bark at the wrong tree, I'm sure you are aware that different agencies/ministries will handle different scope/field/issues. Some KSU will make some "smart/stupid rules or policies just to project themselves, hoping to be appointed as CEO of a GLC I think." On the other hand, some will lie low until they can make an impact with a new "smart/stupid rules........". However, most are now under the sheet/shit after some "smart/stupid rules........."

I wasnt barkin dale, I was just pointing out the unnecessary rules that they come up with, and without reason as well. Like our ' Semi Value ' Today saying that he is suggesting to ban big bikes on highways... what a moron...

For all the Bouncin' Beyonce lovers, here's a slo-mo vid for you... :43: :43:

My 2 cents...

Malaysia is a democratic and secular country where every citizen is free to practise and belief what they wish to believe.

As such, the government should not be the moral guardian for Malaysian citizens.

At the end of the day, its ENTERTAINMENT.

I have utmost respect to the wishes of the muslim community and Beyonce's concert could violate their religious beliefs. At the same time, there are others whom do not believe in god (atheists) or practise religions that can tolerate sexy outfits and suggestive dance moves and THAT they wish to attend this concert.

Perhaps one way to resolve this issue is in the future the government should impose a BAN for muslims to view/attend the concert if the artist's sexy outfit and stage performance is an issue. The promoter shall not sell tickets to muslims and the authority should also get JAIS to ensure no muslims enter the concert compound. This is a win-win situation I believe.

Cheers. :)
