Hi Guys,


Currently i am thinking of changing my F10 535i wheels from Style 331-19" (245/40 Front 8.5j +33 , 275/35 Rear 9j +44) to a set of Leon Hadritt Bugel Black/Polish ( F 245/40 9j +7 , R 275/35 10j +7 ) the lip of the wheels is rather deep.


Using the calculation from tire rack :


Front : 20mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 32mm
Back : 24mm MORE clearance on the strut side, and the outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 50mm


Since you guys have an F10, like your opinions, will it clear the brake calipers and also the fenders? Thank you in advance.

Also, anyone would like to buy the wheels and tires? Running on Michelin Primacy HP tires.

I'm running on:

Rear : 20X10 +35
Front: 20x9 +32

That sits pretty much flush with the outer fender with no issue on the inner end. This is only with an extension of ~ 7mm on the front and about 22mm on the rear. With this specs and it's already flush, I believe yours would most likely scrub.

Car rides just just nice now. If drop, would probably be too hard. Getting too old for that kind of ride...

19" M5 wheels

After searching all over for the best-looking wheels, I end up with the M5 rims but in 19" instead of 20". The ride is a good balance between comfort & sports. In fact, its even better than the originals on RFTs. I know dropping it would fill the wheel arches but the ride suffers, as my brother's car did.

What do you guys think?

Nope... Replicas.... They declare that its OEM ... I've compared it with the originals at a BMW dealer, even they can't tell the difference...

The car is just 2 months old and is still under warranty, so I dont want to do anything major yet. Better not turn it into a fake M5 as I've barely half of the power of the real M5. Don't want to be embarassed. Furthermore, the engine is only a 4 cylinder 2 litre with the tame engine sound. Maybe more mods after the warranty expires.

the M5 has electric sound engineering or somesort to give that the ROAR, i am sure with the advance of code breaking and ECU can generate similar sound to emulate that on the N20...
But I think if you do the aesthetic bit, it does not void warranty right? no?

True, but i think you can still hear the difference between an 8 cyl and a 4 cyl engine, and especially at highways when you cant catch up to a new 328i.... now that's embarassing... Like people always say, "All show and no go".... Ha ha ha.....

Yes, the asthetics do not void the warranty as long as it is bought and installed by a dealer. I've noticed that it involves alot of parts to be replaced esp for the front bumper. If I'm going to install the M5 bodykit, then I will have to replace my fenders to the M5 ones with the gills, the quad exhausts, and then the larger brakes with the very cool blue calipers.... Oh my, it will cost more than 2 new Proton Inspiras.... Very tempting, but I have to resist.....

I dont think it will be that costly
You dont really need the M Brake or BBK, especially if the car is already kitted with electronic brake, that will be disabled if one decided to switch.
All you need is a Leman Blue Spray can and Spray the caliper! hahaha... probably the cheapest mod.
Yes. Fender will be required in order to make it look "Authentic" as the F10 M5 has some sort of Wide fender and the intergration of the turn signal at the side vent.
