Yeah... i was searching around, no found bad comment but also not found good comment too... so just asking around... haha.. sorry if you feel i over question it

Go to visit the shop and then report to us whether good or bad? Sharing is caring ma..

So far no bad experience since 2009.
I did my engine swap there, twice.
I also bring a used UDM there for inspection before buying it.
Last but not the least, I send my ride there for regular service.

Extra charges are very hard to measure. It's like the same can of soft drink, buy at Tesco/Giant/JJ around RM1 or less, buy at petrol kiosk RM1.50, buy at coffee shops RM2 - RM2.5, at some restaurants start from RM3.50.

At the end of day, it's all about satisfaction with the services and workmanship.

Why the tow bro? What happened?

I'm sorry to hear about your ride being grounded bro.
Speedy recovery.

Usually with new customers, Jason MAY charge a bit higher, like insurance... just in case you end up to be a difficult customer.. He related to me many horrifying experiences.. things like new customer come request for ATF change, then 2 days later return to claim gearbox from Jason.. another was a simple exhaust fix, end up accusing Jason damaged his entire exhaust system.. many such @sshole customer around.. the workshop rather do less business than getting "conned" by such unsuspecting customer with ill intend.. so as a new walk-in customer, we can't guarantee how you will be treated.. but this relationship is something you must build with the workshop if you intend to let them maintaining your car, and I'm sure the bill will come down eventually.. I sometimes get free service with such relationship.. :4:

Mentioning the club also not necessary a good thing because many like to associate with the club trying to get good service and price... some even dare to say they are member when just a club guest. But the workshop is "smart" enough to ignore such claim because they know it's a common tactic from an ill intend customer.. :13:

Oh my god~ Hopefully he not charged me extra, because the condition for the car was unknown... I talked to him last few day, seems very nice person too.
I even tell him, I'm Toyota older timer (I can do A to Z in Toyota too) and just start to play BMW with 0 knowledge on it. He laughed at me. =.='

Jason and Ah Fai are very nice people. I might not be able to talk to them well cos I cannot speak Chinese and yet they have a repeat customer in me. Have previously written about the great service I gotten from the Optimum guys in my E32 thread, they never fail to get back to me after my first time visiting them last year for a full-blown overhaul of the pistons and etc, and I've never looked back since.

And yes, someone did mention before, goodwill will come eventually. I have stated before that on few occasions when I went back to them to ask them to adjust some minor stuff here and there, they didn't even charge me a single cent. Imagine how I felt about not wanting to pay for services, so I ended up paying a token amount to the fella who helped fixed my car and drove off without any guilt.

It's service like this which makes my visits to Optimum one of the best workshop experiences I ever had. :top:

heh... I usually let a workshop start fixing little things and start building a relationship from there before giving them more major job.. I have to admit, they are honest chaps la.. that's why ill intended customers took advantage of them. :4:

If straight away go in with major job, best bring along one of their regular good record customer as an "ice breaker".. :4:

from a simple oil change until an engine swap, optimum never fails me !

That was where I gotta thank Mizhan bro for the 'ice breaker'... Thanks to him I finally plucked the courage to give Optimum a go, and I've no regrets with their workmanship ever since. :top:
