ya i went there. it was good like the thread mentioned. i tried ur route of tanjung malim exit to ipoh using old road. wah took me ages. but i detour to Proton City la.
at night SEA Park behind maybank but table and chair also lined along Maybanks corridor..the nasi lemak oklah but the fried chicken ...happening.

I have tried the Sri Hartamas Tj Puteri nasi lemak, no great shakes lah. The one in Bukit Aman is good, for breakfast only (I think, not sure about lunch). Always a long queue. Went there this morning around 7am but they haven't opened yet! The queue started to build up around 7:20 then they finally decided to open. Somewhere near the end of the queue was the Proton chairman, just as I saw a Savvy ad and made some comments that it's a useless car
