ICE gurus ...Your thoughts and opinion on the above, please ? Interested to know what sorta sound characteristics to expect from the new range of Pioneer units ....More details here ... http://www.pioneeraus.com.au/car_entertain...50mp/index.htmlWhy ??? Got a 3 month old agent unit going for a song .... owner upgrading to the delectable P9 combo !!! Gatal la wanna give it a go .. :p Cheers,

as I said over SMS, my experience with these gadgets stopped at 9450. Not sure if there is any improvement/changes to the sound signature on the 9650.

Others?

Thanks, Dude. I recall a couple of 8650 users here ... perhaps they wud like to add a few thoughts. Both models are using 24-bit Burr-Brown chips on their DAC section ...

Cheers,

I didn't compared in detail my 8650 with the 9650 but I think the extra on the 9650 is the motorised dual-motion flap with OEL display. The rest of the features are the same on both units. When affan was in SimLim recently I asked him to check out this unit for me but haven't heard from him.

I heard this unit on my colleague car before but his is a 3-way competition setup so I don't know how much this unit help in his setup. If I have to make a choice and tight on budget, I'll would go for the 8650. If you want fancy motorised dual-motion flap to show off, go for the 9650.

Hmm, if you are not going for the 9650, can you PM me the price?
