calvin, that I6 block ur showing, is that 2.5L or 3.2L? there's not much metal between the cylinders is there? quite scary to bore some more.

any issues of cylinder walls cracking when the engine overheats?

but very nice looking kit! looks the biz! 258hp is ok power for 3.2L but im sure its got stinking amounts of torque!

redd
The block is a 2.5L bore to 3.0L. I never come accross cylinder wall cracking. This kit been selling and proven worldwide. Like Alpina, AC Schnitzer, Hartge, Racing Dynamic and Hiop is doing the same stroker kit upgrade.

2.5L = 84mm
2.8L = 84mm
3.0L = 86mm
3.2L = 86mm

So it is just 1mm off the wall. Come to my place, I will give you a ride on my either M20 3.0L or M50 3.2L :nyehehe:

As for the head gasket is imported from Germany, but no worries. As I always keep one in stock standing by.

Anyhow it is really realible, as I've been using it in my cars (3.0L and 3.2L)for 5 years.

my ride.....

some of the aftermarket pistons/piston rings uses alloy that has a very low heat/friction coefficient rating, laymans term, does not have much friction ,thus less heat produce, thats why those kits are hardy and last blardy long, and are used on high performance engine

so the issue of cracking doesn't really surface, coz this was already anticipated much earlier during the design process.....

as far as i know Calvin has blown more then 3 m20 motors using "his own engineering " version......but has not blown any since putting the 3.0L in .........

It was not my engineering. I did like everyone else did....2.0 => JPS complete cylinder head => 2.3 => turbocharged => 2.5 => 2.7. They all blown is because they can't take it like the way I'm driving. But not until I found this 3.0L was available back in year 1999.... so I imported it in all da way from the Alpine Ex chief engineer who started his own motorsport company called MST Wisemann.

so normal engine all blown.....hmmmm......

but 3.0L not blown yet, but tahan sooo long.....wah liddat i oso wan laaa........

bleached??!!!??? :blink:

Nice pics of the HIOP stroker kits. Thats a serious piece of kit with a serious price, no doubt. I would think, it would be cheaper to go the S50 3.0 Euro M engine (second hand) rather than to stroke the M50 or M52 to such lengths. For M20 engines I can understand stroking to 2.9 litre or 3.1 litres.

The S50 '95 model can pump out almost 300 hp at crank with just a "sport" cam. Its single vanos and tough-as-nails engine. And of course, its a real M engine, no question about it.
