Finally collected my car today. Had been looking around over the past months for an original manual but it is very rare species. Am happy with the car!:eek:Car is E46 320i SE 2.2 litre M54B22 year 2001Got HP rate at 3.5% for 3 years, Public Bank Previous owner owned the car for > 9 years since he studied/worked in UK, and brought it back in 2009 under personal AP. (full set of documents including original UK reg card, MITI approval letter and AP form)Bought from a used car dealer. (many will be very much against the idea but i believe there is some opportunity to find gems) price seem to be very reasonable esp with the "stick". inspected and diagnosed the car. I have got ready list of items to be replaced including radiator, water pump, all hoses, spark plug & coil, fuel pump, fuel filter even if they are still running conditions. The dealer only got one key and i demanded him to double confirm with previous owner. surprisingly the previous owner still kept the other keys so i shall collect the bal tomorrow. the dealer gave warranty for 3 weeks. Verbal warranty! As a bizman myself i like man who keep his word. i pay him in full the bal purchase price and choose to have trust in him.He will deliver the remaining key including changing the airbag sensor which on and off appeared on the OBC.

Just washed it in the evening, plenty of stone chips on the bonnet. seriously thinking of repainting to my colour of liking - sapphire black. (at first intend to keep this car as stock as possible including the original green colour), will post some pic soon!

The feeling is like revisiting the first love! I like to hold even the automatic stick with my left hand and now with the manual stick just felt excellent. almost 15 years without driving one. now need to take some practice for smooth transmission. and then.... will try to master the ultimate heel - toe downshift!!! The real poison that hooked me to return to the manual stick!

By going stick, I think the 320i 2.2liter performance easily match a 325i with Steptronic box. I only got a chance to tried once in a 318ti during my stay in UK. The minimum loss in power/torque using a manual box has a great feel.:top:

EL118, welcome to the E46 bandwagon. I saw the ad, green prefacelift with wood interior trim, looking good, cheers.

Do keep it. once u sold u would know how difficult to get it back! Many willing to spend RM10-15k to convert auto to manual but there is always something missing, not easy to beat BMW enginneer using simple after market fix.
