I was (age < 30) when I got my first E34 ... friends tell me it's an 'uncle' car but I loved driving it anyway.

Since then I've bent to pressure and am driving a more 'contempary' model now

Was fortunate to own a 1983 520i when I was 27 yrs -- only because the owner 'upgraded' to a Merc to impress his female companion.

Maybe the crack on the windscreen had something to do with the decision to sell also.....

Price, then, was RM35K (1987, in Muar).

Unfortunately, fell asleep at the wheel (5am!) drving back from Kota Bahru in 1990 at Gambang, Kuantan and crashed the car. Still after 8K spent, was never the same -- the electronics just went bust and the car can 'die' when you are driving! Nice number too - MP 7227.

BMW 3-series in US is a University girl's car. So many girls drive it man, because it's cheap and nice. Too bad it's not so cheap here in Malaysia. I got mine 1st year Uni when I was 18-19 because if you don't have a car in LA, there's no way for you to get around at all.
