in a short while a sifu is gonna come here and say that the problem with E36 is that its not an E30...wait and see haha

I have own an E30 as well.

In terms of handling, in my opinion the E36 has a lot more grip and when driven hard has a higher limit before breaking traction. The E30 is no doubt a more fun car to drive, being more tail happy but slower.

Cheers

if you can silence the interior panels, yes. it'll be a good daily driver; especially a 2.8 with 5-sp slushbox.

Given the better creature comfort features yes!

Only e30 better than any e36 is the E30 m3;)

Still miss my E36 as most of the problem u guys mentioned, I already rectified.
Is still a good car with bargain value now. I'll take it anytime compare to newer JDM but of course must be good condition lar:smokin:

A lot of the interior trim problems are easy fixes, sagging glove box being one of it. Rattling of the door panels could easily be rectified with liberal usage of the hot glue gun..

While annoying, these problems will definitely surface on a car made more than a decade ago. If nothing at all, I'm happy BMW skimped on the creature comfort instead of compromising performance. Jussayin.

Another fix on the rattling door panels is by fixing custom plastic washers on the clips. Can easily be cut out of bicycle tire or motorcycle tires. Just a lot of cutting la if you want to do it.

Same problems
- Ill-fitting glovebox
- Broken A&B Pillars

That is nothing compare to the sound of 6 individual throttle:smokin:

How's yr ///M3?

yeah...a lot of noise from inside...especially from the seats n door trim....kreok kreok here n there...

But if you own E36 ///M3 not much else to think:smokin:

- consume too much fuel.
- very very very difficult to drive according to speed limit.
- tire wear is extraordinary:stupid:
- still got that creaking sound

Actually all these interior noises can be fixed DIY. Was just discussing with a fellow enthusiast the other day and he did a lot of experimenting with a late friend and figured out some pretty simple solutions to fixing most of the sounds.

I've been thinking of doing some of the fixes...eventually...some day.. LOL. Will try to document it and post it up.

in terms of power...i saw one e36 kena cucuk dengan MYVII....what the hell...

Must be a 318 auto. Myvi despite 1.3, it has VVTi and equivalent to a traditional 1.5 in terms of pick up and top speed. Some more its light weight, so I'm not surprise. Well, nothing that can't be fix with some chop shop shopping and some investment..
